Being a bit of a car mount snob, usually buying Brodit for each device I get, I'm really liking the Nokia CR-200 Wireless Charging Car Mount -

Link in video description.

how on earth did you find this worked and could recommend it? the charger sensor is not in line so barely is able to charge the device, it loses connection every second and picks it up again causing the phone to constantly switch the screen on and off. sometimes it gets the charge going for a while, but overall it's too out of place to rely on it. the nfc sensor again is way out of place. the phone can't sense it in the holder, only by holding it in a random odd way and then as it's read only, which the trigger app (not tried another so they may work better) wont auto respond, you have to keep holding it in the awkward position and then select trigger app and then the actions will take place. For £55 I'm massively disappointed. I'm going to have to cut the bottom off to get the qi charger at least usable, and then place my own nfc tag on the holder.

Yeah I've seen those, but im a sucker for the official products.

lolwut?

The whole point of this phone is that it is cheaper than the competition for similar performance.

By spending £50 on a charger then £50 on a case, it defeats the whole purpose and you should have just bought a better phone imo with the extra £100 and then spend <£30 on the above two products.

Doing what your doing is like buying a Skoda then buying top of the line Pirelli's and getting it custom wrapped in chrome.

Or that because it’s so competitively priced that what I’d save in paying for another more expensive SIM Free phone I can put towards getting an official product.

I’m getting as a Christmas present anyway so not having to outlay any type of cost towards the phone.

still even if I got the phone for free, there is no way i would spend £50 on a charger, wireless or not.

I mean the cable does a better job for nothing.

i bought the nokia one simply because it was £20, had it been £30 i would have stuck with the cable.

How long does it take for graphic cases to hit the market for new phones?

How long's a piece of string? There's been cases available for this phone since before it was even announced, so it just depends on when someone fancies making them.

just got my N5 and I ordered an "Orzly Multi-Function Wallet Case" for Amazon for it - chose it black and looks very good with my black N5 in it. Has the "wake-up on open" function that you get on tablets too which is great.

Think the reviews on Amazon already point out that the wallet part is pretty unusable and to be honest I wish ti wasn't there as its adding an extra mm or so to the added thickess. Nice touch is the magnetic clasp folds back on itself and is held by another magnet on the back of the case if you want so its not flapping around when the case is open. Anyway for £5 it seems a good deal ... might even see if I can slice the card hold bit away to reduce the thickness as even if I wreck it its only £5 to replace.

Official LG cover looks great, adding only a couple of mm's to the phone thickness .... but the price at the moment is just ridiculous!

I also bought a cheap Qi charger at the same time and that works fine through the case

[update] while browsing Amazon I've now seen an "ultra slim" nexus 5 case from fonem8 that looks to add less thickness by not having the "wallet" features. Again on £5 so may give it a try.

Question here..Screen protectors

Im not going to buy a case for my N5 as im generally very careful with phone so not going to be throwing it around.

BUT, would like a screen protector.
Issue is, don't all screen protectors reduce the sensitivity and image quality of the screen underneath?

I have budget of around £20-30 quid for a protector and wondering whats best?

The first batch of Spigen glass ones did not stick correctly on the screen leaving bubbles, the same with my Orzly one.

Still, it feels great on the screen doubt i would go back to a normal screen protector now.
