*** Nexus 5 Accessory Thread ***

I bought a "QI standard Wireless Charger for Google Nexus 7 II FHD Tablet by MCPOWER" - its rectangular and slightly larger than the N5 so it sits stably on it. Also charges through my orzly flip case. I charge overnight on bedside table ... haven't heard any beep for "fully charged" in the middle of the night! (whereas in past I have noticed the "almost out of charge" beep from my previosu phone)
 
I like your videos andy but that intro is just annoying! :) I've been skipping it every time I watch your videos, imo that logo at the top right corner is more than enough.

yup! :) I don't mind the logo and I understand that you need to "brand" your work but that thing gets skipped anyway so IMO a short 3s intro is the most you need.

its just my opinion and its up to you to take it on board or not! :)

Awesome video mate, I personally looking to get a dbrand skin, had one on my Nexus 4 and it was amazing, I drop that thing so much and it hardly scratched off, and that skin doesn't need any blow drying, it just stick on.

I do prefer to have an intro, the one we used on Hemorrdroids I liked a lot -


I guess even that was only 10 seconds long. I'll see what I can do :) (Although I didn't make it myself, so will be hard for me to adjust/edit it shorter :( )
 
Has anyone found a reasonably priced (as in cheap as chips) desktop dock for the Nexus 5, yet?

I've been looking around but haven't managed to find anything which I'd be happy with, they're all a bit fancy and expensive.

I was using the <£5 brick docks for my SGS2 but can't find anything which is the same but has the micro USB connector the other way round, to accomodate the N5 :(

Any word on if there are any magnetic charging pads besides the official one? I'm the type that would end up knocking it off the pad repeatedly and don't want to deal with all the beeping as I put it back in place, so I'd really like a magnetic one, but as far as I know, the only option is the official one?

Solved the problem by prising open one of my cheap docks, twisting the connector round and putting it back together...

Works perfectly and means my Nexus 5 can take over as my alarm clock :)
