*** Nexus 5 Accessory Thread ***

There's a Nokia QI Car Dock on the rainforest site for around £55, with NFC built in too. Very temped... I normally only use Brodit mounts, decent quality, but a pain when you swap devices a lot. Maybe I should switch.

I have to say the fit is superb. There is a review for them saying to fit the protector in a steamy bathroom which is what I did. Still got 1 bit of fluff under it somehow :D:confused:
There are some stickers that come with them so you can peel the screen back up and pull the fluff off with the sticker. Very handy.

I always suck at fitting screen protectors so I don't bother. Usually end up with fluff and bubbles. One day my luck is going to run out and I'll regret not having one.

Are there any real idiot proof protectors out there? Or maybe protectors have come a long way since I last tried them!

I've got the ZAGG Invisible Shield HD on mine. Expensive at £20 but I've had them before on my iPhones and they have always served me well. Any scratches aren't visible unless you look closely, unlike cheaper ones. Because I go for the HD one, it isn't affected by the 'orange peel' effect like the standard ones.

Sounds like it's an environmental issue really, just make sure you're in as fluff free area as possible, and as for bubbles, push them out with a credit card or similar.

Wet apply protectors are probably the easiest to remain dust free as they're not adhered until they've dried out, so any dust/fluff should get squeegeed out along with the soap solution.

I used them front and back on my N4, since dry apply ones couldn't stick to the curved edged with good results.

On my N5 I have the standard 3 layer dry apply one that came with my S Line case, I used the hinge fitting method and only had the odd spec of dust which I removed with a bit of tape.

Whats a good wireless charger for the Nexus 5? im not going to bother with a case, i didn't use a screen protector on my One X and this screen is tougher so... only case ill consider really is those made by ROCK, ive had a few of them in the past and the quality is always second to none.

My Spigen Ultra Hybrid arrived. Man this thing sure does add a noticeable amount of weight and bulk to the device! Gonna use it for a few weeks and see how it goes. Might change to a slimmer profile one depending on how clumsy I am.

I can see what people say about how easy the buttons are to press. I don't even need to feel that button click before they register.

Anyone else receive the orzly tempered glass protector?

Just put mine on and there are a few marks on the underside of the protector which look a bit like fingerprints (not mine).

Mine has also arrived. I haven't opened it yet. Shall see later how easy it is to fit!

There's a patch about the size of a 5p piece that just doesn't stick to the phone on the bottom bezel. Other than that i like it, gives the screen a much more sturdier feel to it.

Got my replacement FoneM8 screen protectors today also. They are a spot on fit but will use up the other ones first.
Might try cutting the old wrong ones up to put on the camera, doubt it will be any good though :D

They are ok but a bit thicker than the SPIGEN protectors. I had previously used them on a different phone and they lasted well and saved the screen from a fair amount of scratches.

be quick i just grabbed the second last one, so only one left in stock.

about £10 cheaper than everywhere else since it's grade B stock.

work perfectly, looks like a solid piece of kit from nokia, delivery was quick, box wasn't in the best of nick but still perfectly useable and the actual device looked in great condition.

tested with case on and off and seems to be able to penetrate it with no issues either, obviously less efficient than a normal charger but the ease of use and for £20 i thought it was time for a change and should work with all future devices.

if this thing lasts for 5 years it will have paid for itself, thats why I went for a nokia one rather than unbranded or cheaper manufacturers. still at £20 it was pretty cheap considering how much these things cost a year or two ago.

Plus 1 for these, I've been using them since last Friday. Very happy.
