no. you need new LTE SIM to be able to use LTE.

that SIM will of course support 3G too.

So if i was to go with one of three's sim only products, I would have to request an LTE sim?

Three dont have 4G yet, but say the upgrade is free, does that mean once 4G does launch I can ask for an LTE sim and get my number ported?

Theortically speaking of course...

There's no need for your number to be ported, they just link the new SIM with your account and disable the old one.

First look at Kitkat on the Nexus 5. Looking very nice. New lock screen, new transparent notification bar with a subtle shadow, and new icons. One particular thing I picked out was that the user says:
In addition to being much lighter in weight, it is also much faster than the Nexus 4.
Perhaps they have overhauled the butteryness of Android again, as I already considered the Nexus 4 to be very very quick.

One thing I've always hated about Android and loved about the iPhone is the icons. I prefer a clean and constant design rather than random shapes, makes it look very messy but that's obviously fixed by third party icon packs. Still, something Google should look at imo.

You've seen the monstrosity that is IOS 7 right? If not you can't live that far away I'll come and show you. Its horrible.

Yeah, helped set up 49 iPhones last week :p

Not saying I prefer the look, IOS7 is a massive step backwards in that sense, just the uniform design. I've currently got the Tersus icon pack installed and they look much better than the stock icons.

You know whats good about Android..............you can download icon packs from the play store and apply them with a single click

That's why Google will never do a lot about it, because they know Android has customisation options for the user should he/she want a different look.

Likewise with Launchers.

Having said that, iOS is a mish-mash and a complete abortion!!!!

Pretty slim bezel YO!

Pretty slim bezel YO!

SNIP

Sides look a bit big, but I'm glad it seems to be similar size to the Nexus 4. I do really like the White icons, it is something I normally do too my phone anyways, I also like how the navigation and on screen buttons.

Just looks like an n4 with the camera on the opposite side :/ Still big mass of bezel at the bottom that may aswell put capacitive buttons on or get rid of.

I know what you mean. Though I think that too thin looks a bit weird and not as balanced.

Looks great IMO.

I agree, the top and bottom seem a bit smaller too, overally the size looks perfect and you can still use it in 1 hand which is ideal.

Battery life I have some hope, Google was able to increase the N7 2013 while going to 1080p and a much better internals and a smaller battery, and the s800 is even better with battery, so there is some hope.

The Camera has IOS so it should at least be better in the dark, which is by far the worst aspect of the Nexus 4, hopefully it has image quality that is at least close too the S4.

Display should also be really good this time, the N7 2013 is basically the best LCD screen you can get on a tablet (more or less equal with the iPad4) and just destorys everything on the market. Hopefully they will put the same effort into this too.

The latest rumors also point to a much lighter android UI that is extremely quickly, the S800 is also crazy fast.

This is done for symtery as they need the space at the top for camera and the sensors, and it would look a bit weird if the bottom was just super small, to me personally it looks smaller then the N4 which is a good step forward. Also I just love the nLED orb on these things

With three you wont need to port anything. the 3G sim they give you will work on 4G. like magic.
