What is that thing below the screen, it looks very weird

.

Overally I'm really loving the all black design on this thing, the sides also look very interesting, it kind of has a metal feel too it, long with the camera's. I think for the first time where seeing a phone fully designed by Google.

The hardware seems pre production too, so it could just be an older unit.

Another few days and hopefully we shall know pricing and actual spec
If it is only 16gb that doesn't bother me really, my Gnex is 16, and I haven't had storage issues.

Anyone got any ideas what the sensor on the bottom left of the phone is? Never seen anything like that before. Its on the front of the phone, on the bottom left and looks like a collection of small squares

I think it looks pretty good, small bezel at the sides ftw... If it has wireless charging like the 4 I'll consider swapping it for my one.

It looks OK, but the camera lens is the point of contact if the phone is on its back... not good.

Yes seems like it - It was changed to KitKat quite late in the development of 4.4.

This is very much a test/pre production sample.

I am very interested in this handest. But I have only ever owned an used one smartphone being my GS2 which has been fantastic. Im a bit concered that the Nx5 would have a 'premium' feel to it and that I should plump for the GS4 instaead.

Also what is the build quality of LG phones like? Again used to Samsung.

Personal preference though, I've always thought the N4 is a great looking device.
