*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

@undergroove So you've had your fair share of Android phones. Nice one...

Re Twitter apps check out Falcon Pro it's fairly decent and might do what you want.

The Moto G for how much it is and specs is an excellent phone, my Sister uses one and I'm impressed by it. Moto hit a home run there.

Lolz you should get the glow green...anything that infuriates the Missus is a plus in my book...Go on buy it!!!!

glow green skin: challenge accepted! Will get photos up when I get it....

Did try Falcon and couldn't really get away with it. Been impressed with how Talon works so far though, but I'm fickle with these Twitter apps, as my GPlay app history shows I've bought pretty much all of them!

Awesome Dude...looking forward to the pics and the reaction you get from your Missus, this should be hilarious. Unleash the phone when it's totally dark and it should freak her out :p

Shame as I thought Falcon was pretty good, like you I've pretty much tried every Twitter client going but I don't tweet as much now. Although I'm going to check out Talon just out of curiosity.

What colour's your N5 BTW?

Aye, she'll love it. I'm not allowed to choose colours at home and the Mazda was only just tolerated (but she loved it when my bro-in-law lost his car, parked in a sea of grey/white/black at Centre Parcs with mine next to it, oddly).

Stuck with black for the N5.... like the white but wish it was an all over white.

Those skins must be really hard to apply perfectly. And I wouldn't want anything less than perfect

That's what I'm worrying about when mine gets here, I tried a screen protector once but always got at least one tiny little mark left under it which was enough to make me scrap them.

Skins are actual much much easier, the only difficult part is lining them up properly, but if you use something like the camera ring it isn't too bad. And you can keep removing and trying again till it is just right.

Okay, received mine and not exactly happy with it...

First of all, there are a few points on the volume rocker side of the phone where the plastic isn't flat, like it's coming up:

The vibration motor appears to be faulty. It sounds like a bird cheeping if you listen to it.

What should I do?

LOL...She's got no choice seeing as it's your phone! See your car does have its uses.

Just to let you know that I ordered my skin from Slickwraps and it's already been posted. So they seem pretty damn good in terms of processing orders.

I totally agree, i've installed several skins on my previous phone and a couple on my N5, it's just a matter of lining it up and then applying heat from a hair dryer when you're happy with the alignment. The skins don't leave any marks or residue on the phone if you decide to remove it if you get bored or just want a change back to stock look and feel.

Call Google get a door swap sorted.

I'm assuming people have gone sim free on this deal.

I switched to giffgaff not so long ago, going from orange. and I have to say the speeds are appauling. I get a low bar EDGE connection in work, which means I have to wait for an age to get the website up.

Does anyone know of any good deals with other networks? assuming O2 are just naff for my area.

3, 1 month rolling contract unlimited data Inc 4g, 5000txts and 200 minutes for £12.90 a month bargain.

What are people running ROM wise these days? At the minute I've got a slightly moded stock ROM but fancy having a play with something AOSP based over the weekend.

Check in store at EE they sometimes have great deals on 4g if you have it in your area

I've got an EE sim only. Unlimited calls and texts, 5gb of data and 4G. For around £20 \o/

(I have a friends and family scheme that gives me a lot off)

Oh and I got. £50 cash back from quidco. :D
