I'm inclined to agree but I'm beginning to warm to the red. It's different that's for sure.

I'm hanging onto the white N5 for now but a colleague of mine is interested in buying it as he's had enough of his Xperia Z and wants to throw it against a wall...I'm not surprised actually. If I had an Xperia Z I'd do the same too :p

EDIT Quite a bit of backlight bleed on this unit compared to my white N5. I'm going to return it as it's rather annoying and distracting.

That red is certainly.... bright.

My red one is sat at the post office to be picked up tomorrow. I'm quite looking forward to having a bright red phone. I got red headphones rather than black "just because black is boring", and have day glow yellow mirrors on my car "cos why not", so having a bright red phone seems right up my street. Black is just so boring!

A guy at work has one of the day glow yellow Nokias, maybe we will start a trend?
 
Well i must say, this phone is incredibly tough!

I was getting into my car yesterday, just as a sat down and started slamming the door shut, my phone dropped out my pocked and got slammed in the door, then proceded to bounce on the pavement under the car.

The screen is spotless, i couldnt believe it, i slammed the door with force as i guess we all do!

Very impressed.

I've bought a dband red skin because I'm really liking the look of the red.
 
I'm tempted to get a bright shell in a different colour for my work phone (Lumia 620) as its going to look proper boring in black next to my bright red N5 :).
 
Picked up a black N5 yesterday, switched over to ART and loving every minute of it so far, so much smoother than my one s :D
 
Have decided to go to use a combination of skins Dbrand to get the customized look. It's certainly cheaper than buying a new N5.

Had a good look at the red N5 in daylight, damn it's really bright...am waiting on the RMA pack to be sent to me for the refund.
 
stoosh, I'm assuming Dbrand's the best place to get their skins? Looking like I'll have to get the green one if I can.... I've warmed to the red N5 overnight though, bonkers colour is quite appealing now!

Have to say, two days with this phone and it's an absolute stunner so far. Went straight to ART and had no problems there at all.

Missed nothing from the Apple world so far, but did tinker with a few different Twitter apps, having been spoiled with Tweetbot on the fruitslabs, ending up with Talon at the minute.

Enjoyed my two year Apple holiday, but it really is brilliant to be back in 'droid land. Even some of the equivalent apps seem so much better than the fruitslab versions (Tweetbot excepted, for me). Plex and Hullomail seem more feature rich so far.... suppose it's horses for courses though, overall.

Yes Mate, either Dbrand or Slickwraps (which have more colour options available). I had a yellow Dbrand back skin on my white N5 but removed it thinking I was going to sell my N5 and keep the red N5, but that's all changed now.

I've ordered a blue back and yellow side frames, I'm trying to replicate the Motomaker look on the N5 lol

The red colour is too crazy for me, definitely one for showing off and flamboyant peeps out there...but not for me..

You made the right move switching to the N5, it's extremely fast and fluid and there's more than enough apps out there to keep you not missing Apple, plus the beauty of Android is that you can pretty much do anything you want to the phone. Am glad you're enjoying the N5 experience, it's a great phone to have.

Not my first 'droid. Start on a G1, then one of the first Nexus One in the UK, HTC Desire, Nexus S, then went to the iPhone 4S then a 5. Effectively got the N5 for nowt after ridding myself of the iPhone 5 to a mate who's Apple mad.

Did nearly defect back earlier than now, as the Apple keyboard is without doubt rubbish. Was spoiled by Swype and Nuance before moving, so my messaging from the iPhones was always much shorter than on 'droid.... it was getting a Moto G for the missis last week that swung it though - she hasn't had time to swap from her knackered GS3, so I tried the Moto for a few days and that was enough.

I'll still whine about the phone version of Tweetbot on the fruitslabs though, no Twitter client's as good, although Talon seems to be getting there very quickly.

UPDATE: there are some blinding skins on Slickwraps! Might get the glow green to infuriate herself.... she hated my green Mazda 2.
