So bright you got to wear shades just to use it!

Google weren't kidding when they described the phone as "Bright red" although Luminous red would've been much more apt.

Pretty awesome, personally managed to pick up Vodafone's deal month a few months back. 8GB 4g, unlimited minutes and text, 12 months free spotify, cost £31 on a 12 month contract but with £157 cashback it works out to be a really good deal. And since I was paying for spotify thats another £10 saved.

Tbh, its not red at all, its orange.

It seems like a really odd colour to produce on it's own...? It would make sense if they dud a range, like bright yellow and blue and green. But on its own it feels strange. The Nexus 5, available in sleek black, stylish white, and OMG MY EYES orange! :D
 
I think I've caved. The orange sides are epic, I love them, but the back is just a bit too much. I've ordered a matte black skin for just the back so I get an orange edged look. I've got till it arrives to see if I warm too it.

Gonna get some looks at work on Monday when I whop out the orange glowing beast! :p
 
Wonder if they will do a yellow colour. I was considering buying the yellow case but read bad comments for the official bumper cases.

Yes it's more orange than red, it's so damn bright though. I can see a range coming because if you have a look there's the official bumpers. You've got the bright red bumper which corresponds to this new release, then you have a bright yellow bumper, so I'm kind of guessing that there's going to be a bright yellow release sometime in the near future.

The sides are amazing, I really don't know why Google didn't do the same thing with the white version. It's the only reason I bought the red N5 just for the orange sides. Think you made a really good move buying the matte black skin for the back, the bright orange nexus logo will look awesome against the matte black.

Oh yeah, for sure you're going to get some looks, it's like "Hey look at me...I'm using this crazy bright phone....I'm an attention seeker!" :p
 
I am subscribed to the Google forum in regards to the video hiss. Some rumours stating a hardware revision has taken place and some others stating the android team has requested bug reports.

Still no news on a fix :(
 
Ordered my red/orange nexus 5 on Saturday eagerly awaiting for it to be delivered now!
It's saying it won't be dispatched until the 11th.
How are the screens on these? Do they suffer the same problems?
Have they changed anything on them other than colour?
Will be good to fully move over to android now sold my iPhone 4S and got my nexus 7 and my new nexus 5 should make a nice addition.
Any tips/tricks for when I get it?
 
Find the apps you used on iOS I guess.

If you use iTunes install play music manager to get your iTunes music in the cloud ready for use in android.

Hated I tunes so never used it in the end,but thanks for the info on how to move the music over.
