Google Now comes into its own when travelling. It'll automatically show you your flight info (based on emails you've received) and then lookup gate info and delay information etc. Particularly good when there's a change involved. It also then recognises where you are from GPS/WiFi and will show exchange rates, common word translations like Hello/Thank you etc, which is also based on the time of day.
It's the kind of stuff that's shown off in an ad but never used, but actually it's VERY useful, especially as it's all automatic.
For example:
On a day-to-day basis I use it for weather, stock prices and football scores as well as ad-hoc stuff like delivery statuses on orders.

I've just picked up a 16gb one of these on Sunday and I've got to say I'm really impressed with it. Came from an iPhone 5 and so far it's blowing it out of the water. How are these things so cheap? I paid like £298 for mine.
The red N5 got delivered a few hours ago....
Well what can I say, it's not exactly red, more of a florescent red with a hint of orange.
It's certainly eye catching and looks different that's for sure.
The back is exactly the same material as the white one.

I'm really not sure about the colour, if you want to get noticed and stand out from the crowd this N5 variant will certainly do that for you and it's not understated that's for sure.

My black 16GB arrived yesterday.... seeing those photos, I'm fairly happy I didn't wait for the red now (although I wouldn't say "no" outright).
Everything (for me personally) that was wrong with Android when I ditched my Nexus S for an iPhone 4S is fixed. Google Music Scan & Match isn't as quick as iTunes Match was for uploading my 18k+ of songs, but that's the only fly in the ointment for me.

Cos I've owned a white N5 since its day of launch.
Full on is spot on describing the red variant. It's nice and the more I look at it the more I like it. As my Mum said people most definitely will know you're using a phone
Its funky that's for sure...
I need to think about it..I ready like my white N5 if only Google had released it with white sides as per the red variant then I would not have been tempted by any other colour.
What I really like about the red version is that Google have the red trim through all the sides of the phone and it looks superb face on.
Yeah surprised they did not do with the white.
But then you would not have the stormtrooper look
