Ah see it now. Just need the colour profile and I'll be happy :)

EDIT: Found that too, in the kernel app. Mega

Not sure if this has been mention but if you do need any rom like features get Xposed framework and install gravity box. I use it too change the battery icon into text, add restart to the power menu, give you proper volume controls and so on. Xposed framework also has a butt load of more plugins too so you can basically recreate a lot of custom rom features.

I have to say I'm guilty of not locking my phone - just because I like to access it quickly. However you can access the camera whilst still locked so it's not really a biggie.

I guess I'd just log onto cerberus and lock it, to give me time to change passwords or remote wipe it. Finding the phone is a secondary bonus, it's insured.

Putting a simple pattern passcode on however isn't a daft idea - it's just annoying that you'd lose a lot of information (like emails, savegames etc...) however what is more important, angry birds hi score or data privacy. So you can still remote wipe it with cerberus even if they uncover your passcode (you should do that anyway - and change your google password to prevent them from accessing information)

I tend to just run titanium backups every week and save them to the cloud, that way I have most of my data backed up, 1 week at most isn't a huge deal. I use pattern passwords so it is pretty quick to unlock.

Has anyone gone from a note 1 to this and can compare on battery life and camera? It's between this and the g2 at the moment. My note has a horribly cracked screen so im not sure if I can wait till newer launches when I can upgrade in march.

You don't always realise you've lost it straight away though. Fair enough if it was stolen, you know exactly when it was taken, but it might take 30 mins to find a PC or other phone to lock it. What if you lose it and don't realise for 2 hours?

The lock code simply buys you some time. I have no idea why anyone would not use it. Use a simple pattern unlock at the very least.

Very similar in feel to the black one just a bit less rubbery to touch. Feels nice to be honest, its not smooth or slippery or anything like that.

I was just giving scenarios, and sort of thinking out loud as to why you would/wouldn't put a code on. I use a VPN connection and it demands to have a security pin/pattern so I have one - but I never used to as it never really bothered me - however as I was debating out loud it does make sense to have even a simple pin lock to buy you a little time. :)

I'm genuinely considering sending this back. 4 hours screen time before the battery is dead is just not acceptable for a sealed phone where battery life is only going to reduce over time.
