Going forward I think we will see longer support for Nexus devices, the N4 and N5 are still very powerful devices, the GN had a really bad SoC which is some of the blame for its dropped support.

i agree to a certain exstent, but KitKat could have worked, but its a catch 22, to you keep everyone happy or do you encourage them to upgrade to a new phone to continue the andriod experience

Wants the best file explorer software to use with a usb OTG cable. Want to read files and videos off my 32gb usb 3 flash drive. Not rooting my device!!
Free would be best for the moment please.
Also how do you view videos and photos easily using the stock android software, can't seem to find my files at all.

Jimlamd mate, I've just installed FX File Explorer. Connected my OTG cable to phone and nexus 5 but cant see the usb flash drive, it has'nt picked it up. Am I doing something wrong here. The blue light flashes on my corsair 32gb flash drive but it's not showing on the phone!!
I've selected mount but when I press it it just shows me the internal storage. This is the free version I'm using.

Nice one Andy I didn't watch all the way through because I thought of a solution to the top and bottom pivot problem, a flat phone sized plate of ferrous metal perhaps coated stuck on the magnet where the phone goes should do the job, effectively extending the magnet surface.

Anyone got double-tap-to-wake (AKA LG's Knock On feature) running on their N5? I hear it's available with the Franco kernel, but the Franco kernel doesn't work with the CM11 nightlies.

I've used it but prefer Swipe2Wake as there's less chance of me turning the screen on in my pocket when my hands taps the screen.

Is 4g worth the faff? Got a note 2 which I love, but got the one plan and 4g is enabled. Ahhh what to do! missed the boat on the nexus 5!
