Has something happened to the sale of these things at CPW? Seems to be only offered as contract/upgrade now, yesterday it was showing as ~£280

They seem to chop and change dependent on how much stock they can get their hands on.

Battery Issues

Hi guys, I had a severe battery issue this morning.

I unplugged my phone at 8:30am.
Three hours later at 11:30am my battery was at 14%.
All I had done was use Twitter and play a game for about 10 minutes.

One of two things must have happened.
  • My battery didn't charge correctly over night. I've seen this issue before where plugging it in (wall charge), it doesn't charge. Or,
  • Something during those three hours this morning absolutely caned my battery.

I'm not too sure how to read the battery reports but what can you devise from these screenshots?
Notice it says 9 hours on battery!? Even though I only unplugged it three hours prior.

Have you clicked on each of those apps? One of them might have been caning the phone (you should be able to see the CPU time) - I found the pocketcloud was still "on" despite quitting out of the programme so had to make it force stop. Problem went away after that.

It does say 9hours on battery, suggesting it didn't charge last night.

Edit: and Clash of Clans does kill battery... I know that for certain :p

Weird, yea none of the cpu time was that high, 29minutes for clash of clans.
Maybe something is wrong with my charger or the phone itself...

are you closing apps correctly? swiping away things that will auto update in the background

paypal and bbc apps are bad for that

Sorry? What do you mean by that?
Usually if I want to close an app I open the task switcher menu (alt-tab sorta thing) and swipe the app away. Is that bad?

If it's listed on the rainforest as 'new' that should mean it's unopend and unused right? (Cant find the info on the rainforest).

Meh forget the above. There are screen shots of the phone out of the case.

Best to get your phone into a cycle, use the phone until it switches off on you, then leave off until its charged 100%, don't charge until it dies on you again.

Sorted my battery issues out with older phones.

Be nice if they fixed the audio issue that has been present for months now. Surely if it WAS software issues they would have sorted it by now?

pretty sure it is software and we will see that in the 443. they have to build up a list of fixes and release as one, otherwise it has a knock on effect to all the other devices using kitkat

that should not make any difference

plus a known issue has been found for this battery issue

You shouldn't really let it completely drain all the time either.

Facebook & twitter on default syncs by the way? If so turn them off Facebook especially that rips through battery in my experience.
