Thanks :-) I really like it too.

My current set up is:

Apex launcher
Belle UI icon pack (play store)
And the wallpaper is from GEL icon pack, once again on the play store.

All of my main used apps are in the folder on the far right. And my obvious main ones are sitting in the dock.

85% icon size in apex settings
7 icons in dock

I think that's about it, let me know how you get on :)

Oh and I'm rooted and running paranoid android ROM.

The screen is perfect for me and viewing angles do not come into it for me. I only ever USE my phone in my hands and look straight at it.

I like the htcs for screens and dislike the Samsung's. They feel a bit Disney to me and way to over saturated. That is my personal view.

The camera is perfect for me. I know other phones have better cams but at almost double the price.

Its just a non issue.

Now if you moan about the lack of SD slot I am with you all the way.

I got 32gb, don't need more so don't care about the SD slot, but every time I start a movie/tv show and I move my phone form landscape to portrait I see that disgusting grey blacks and it is so annoying. I tend to not sleep to well so I watch movies in bed, I would use an iPad but it falling on my face would cause some really damage so the phone is much better, and I is typically at a slight issue, and again I pick up on it, It happens on all LCD device, but with the Nexus line its much worse.

It is not enough to make me turn the device, and like I said overall I still find it the best phone out today, but I always want the best from every device and is something I would willing pay extra for.

What do you mean exactly by that? Just changing icons/backgrounds/widgets etc? You can do that straight out of the box, no need even for root :)

Should be absolutely fine. I've not updated my N5 yet, but on my N7 I installed 4.4.3 and rooted fine, just the same as all the other versions.

I mean like changing icon packs, editing the phones notification bar, basically what you do when you jailbreak an iphone :)

Icon packs can be bought/downloaded from the Play Store without rooting. Not sure about the notification bar.

A launcher such as apex/nova will let you customise a lot, such as icon packs homes screens etc etc.
Modifying the notification bar will require rooting, and using a custom ROM or installed xposed framework and then the gravity box module.

From the play store.. Dead easy to change your screen setup and it'll save you a lot of time! :) all of them are made by android community and I'm sure you'll find something you like and modify as you please.

Through LG or Google? Google will do an instant swap out as far as I know, LG it'll go off to their contracted service place and you might see it again at some point and if you're lucky it'll have a new screen.

Thanks it's from the Play store so hopefully that will be quite straightforward. Not sure what happened but screen has gone green around the edges and has a strange hue as if the backlights failing.
 
Is anyone else having problems with the signal on the n5? Most of my phones had low signal but most of the time 3 bars, the n5 is 1-2 but most of the time it says emergency calls only.

Edit

The battery strangely seems to go back to normal after couple charges, back to 1-2% overnight :D .
Checked my dads S3 and the signal at same spot is same, I miss the old nokias signal strength :(
