Battery is same as before I said previously wake lock was better but now it's the same as previously.
 
Quick question for you guys, I'll be in Spain from Friday, do I just need to turn off data roaming and I'll be ok?

I'm on three so I should get signal over there?

You can turn if off on My3 and/or your phone settings. I prefer the latter, to retain easier control.

I was looking at the list because my youngest is off to France next week and I noted that France is joining FaH on 1st July and actually observed that Spain wasn't in the group so I don't know what went on in my head between reading and posting, I'm going to claim confusion with either Italy or SriLanka I haven't decided yet.

Camera is a lot better than what the reviews make out too, didn't think the camera would be better than my one s, but it is superior in every area, my one s captured more detail and looked sharper but it also had more noise. Here are some of my photos:

For me, it isn't just about the quality of photos but also how the camera "shoots", I would get a lot of blurry photos produced from my one s and a heck of a lot more when shooting in low light, with the nexus 5, I have yet to take a blurry photo, focus is faster, taking the photo with HDR+ is slower, takes about 2 seconds but still I haven't had any problems so far, OIS helps massively.

Video recording seems good too.

My only other complaint with the nexus 5 is the speaker, it isn't bad but it isn't great (saying that all phones speakers are **** except the htc one and other phones that have stereo front facing speakers), the position of it annoys me more than anything though.


On a separate note, my battery life is definitely better now since the 4.4.3 update, can easily get 2 days with 2+ hours on screen time.

Good quality pictures nex. We still don't know if google will be making anymore nexus devices so the nexus 5 could be the last of it's kind.

Hope not! Not liking the look of this new google silver project, phones will be back to the £450+ price tag plus networks will be able to add their **** bloat plus delay updates etc.

Can see myself keeping the nexus 5 for at least another 2 years tbh.
