Alright thanks guys, order the Anker one for work, and might pick up the charger doctor too, just to test things out.
There's an Android app that will show charging info. I'll see if I can find it.

Still got the problem of charging taking hours. My phone was at 12% when I got home at 5:30pm yesterday. It's been on charge ever since and at 1:15am it was on 54%.
When I try to boot into Recovery mode I get the Android robot with the red exclamation mark. Apparently this means there is no recovery installed? I have rooted my N5 with the Wugfresh kit. What do I need to do to allow me to get into Recovery so I can try wiping the cache and dalvik cache to speed up the charging process?
Edit: Went on the Wugfresh site and found that the icon is actually the recovery prescreen. I managed to get into recovery and had the option to wipe the cache. I did so and the phone is still charging slowly, although a bit faster than last night. There was no option to wipe the dalvik cache. Only wipe partition. How can I wipe the dalvik cache?

I ordered he 40W Anker charger for my room a few days back. I could do with some very short USB cables to charge my devices off of it.
Can anyone recommend any that are well built and not cheap looking? I don't mind paying extra for something that looks nicer than the ones linked above.
