*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

How comes you got rid of the M8 and you've gone for the Moto X again?

I'm not even going to ask you about the iPhone 5 though :D

M8 was defective - kept getting small electric shocks when it was charging!

Ive had something similar with a phone, can't remember for the life off my which phone it was though.

Friend got invite for one plus one so I have a black 64gb coming soon. I'm 99% sure the size will be an issue but giving it a fair go.

As your sponsor I have to remind you that maybe the electric shocks you were getting were actually part of the treatment to rid you of your compulsive mobile phone buying syndrome lol :p

Can personally attest that the size of the OPO will be a problem. It got on my nerves after a few days.

Sounds about right.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it will, friend said he will buy it at RRP if I don't like it so I have a safety net.

That's a right result!

So how's the replacement N5? Have you rooted it already and installed Gravitybox already?

I mentioned earlier that I had a slight dent on the edge of my new N5 so I ordered a replacement back and installed it just so the resale value would be better.

Like you I'm looking towards the future and looking to sell the N5 when its successor is released.

Not even opened it yet, had a pretty busy Friday and was to lazy. Just backing up my Nexus 5 now and moving everything to my PC. Going to try it out after that. Just going to root + GB and it should be all good.

Moto event is next week so I could be ordering that right away and using it till the Nexus 6/X/Shamu comes out.

After dropping mine 5 on the road and smashing the top right corner to pieces, I bought a new one 32Gb this time, so will see what improvements have been made :)

Great stuff!

Re the Moto event that's my intentions too. If the Moto X+1 is up to scratch I'll be getting it for sure.

Some of the leaks leave me with mixed feelings so far but Moto has the best software I think, dare I say even better then stock with some of the features. Moto 360 also looks like the best smartphone out right now.

New Nexus 5 is pretty cool, unlocked the bootloader, rooted and xposed up. Got it up and running pretty quickly, and almost done wiping the old device so its going back to Google tomorrow. Outside of some slight confusions with the RMA its been great.

Mine has a yellow tint too the display, I'm guessing this is just the calibration being a bit warmer and the older Nexus 5's being a tad colder.

So I dropped the phone last night whilst slightly inebriated. I've dropped it loads, and I've been lucky so far - that is, only a few marks on the outer edge. Not so lucky last night.

The bits of glass get stuck in your finger, so it's pretty much unusable. I've wanted to try Windows phone for a while and I had planned on waiting till the Nexus 6 was out, but decided to go out today and buy a Lumia 930 as I can't be doing without a phone while I wait for the insurance company to sort out a repair/replacement.
