my n5 is beat up now, the 'classic look' you can get a replacement back from ebay for £19

i turned my white one into a black n5 that way
 
No screen protector?

I have a really nice tempered glass screen protector, and it just chips that instead of my screen and feels just as nice, actual a tad better as this one has curved edges which are lovely.

I may get a replacement back as mine is a bit scratched up before I sell it.

nope! guess I was pushing my luck having a completely naked phone!

then again not sure if much would have helped.. I'm surprised its in one piece tbh..
 
Mine has helped a lot, I've dropped my phone on concert a lot of times and the screen protector just chips away a bit, has saved my ass a lot of times now haha. I typically hate screen protectors too, but the glasses ones are really nice, super easy to apply and feel great.

What screen protector are you using? I a hoping to get a Nexus 5 and the screen protector seems like a good idea.
