Those video comparisons don't really do very much at all. They just look to have been done in a rush. :o

Out of interest which stock did you put on the S4 and did you update the camera firmware?
 
the camera samples look most encouraging.

The editor at the Verge posted some twitter comments intimating that the n5 struggled to focus in low light. Anyone able to confirm the overall speed of the camera i.e. it takes strong images but takes a while to do it?
 
I love it how this has turned into a Parcelforce/delivery thread rather than a Nexus 5 thread!!! :p

When you say tinny, do you mean loudspeaker sound or the in-ear speaker?? (I never use my loudspeaker so that's not an issue for me!)
 
When i add two recipients in hangouts to sms it defaults to MMS and i cant change it, and as i dont have MMS on contract its a pain, it keeps retrying to send wont let me delete until it gives up.
Why cant we have group sms natively in Android.

This is a worry for me!

I've read somewhere that they are working on getting 3rd party text apps to work - hopefully this is sooner rather than later!!

Really? You maybe OK then as reviews suggest the n5 is better than n4.

I haven't seen other people talk about it but its the first thing I noticed.

My n10 tablet is so much better as that's what I'm used to.

Thanks :) That does make me feel better. But my N4 was significantly better than my iPod...

I'm getting a N10.2 whenever they finally release it, and your comments do fill me with lots of hope there as well :)
 
Anyone got a good comparison between this and the HTC one? Seems like a camera and software vs. Speakers and hardware bettle to me. Still not decided yet if I'll keep one or the other. N5 despatched yesterday but I know I won't receive till Monday as it's going to the office!
 
Hi,

Traded my iphone 5 for this and really happy so far !

Google now needs US dictionary to recognise ok google, speaker is a bit meh, screen is beautiful, does indeed feel like a premium device. It feels light even coming from the 5. Camera so far seems fine anything I have missed just ask and I will try to help ;-)

Noticed a few things this morning.

Firstly my alarm went off but only through 1 speaker (anyone able to see if this is right?).

Also it decided it didnt want to charge last night, had an overnight charge and only up to 49%.

If it helps, my n10 tablet is probably my buy of the year so far, its such an amazing bit of kit so the new one would be even better.

I've still yet to this this phone slow even slightly, its jaw droppingly quick.
