So has anyone done a factory reset and noticed any improvements?
My battery life now seems rather crap too
ATM 43% with only 43 min screen time. It was taken of the charge yesterday at 11am....... Seems like that "bug" which plagued me several months ago is back again *sigh*
BTW, I have decided to get a wireless charger now so which one is the best for <£20? Also want it to work with my N7 2013.

Wow, so you're off charge almost 30 hours, at 43% and that's disappointing? Surely most would be quite pleased with that?
Granted screen on time is low, but I know I have a lot of stuff going on while the screen is off, you're still only depleting less than 2% an hour.
When it's good for you, how long do you get? I assume you've turned a lot of things off? Google Now? Weather updating?

I have this one, had it over a year now, got it for my N7(2013) and it work on the N5 also

My battery life started horrible, even tried re installing it without any lucky then the last 2-3 days its been great. Yesterday for example I was off the charge at 10am and got home at 1am and it was still at 30%. 3hours screen time, 12hours~ tethering to my iPad, using the maps while driving, 2-3 hours of spotify/pocket cast.
As for wireless charger I use this one at work and its great, even got a few of my team mates to pick em up.

I usually get about 2-4 hours on screen time
And yes, I don't use google now (so location reporting etc. is turned off) and only have one homescreen with my calendar agenda widget. Usage is mostly browsing, emails, texting and phone calls. Brightness is on auto. I have very good signal strength and the only time I have wifi/data turned off is from about about 00:00 till 09:00.

No idea what causes this battery drain, I had the exact same thing several months ago, tried uninstalling apps etc. none of that worked, it just "sorted itself out" after a few days....

Looks like the same one mate, personally paid extra to get it from Amazon for piece of mind there amazing with returns, but the price difference is huge 
ANnyone have the FuelLog app on their N5 and know where the backup .csv file is saved?
The app says sd card, but the N5 only has internal storage. The fuellog folder doesn't show the backup file and a manual search brings up nothing.

well after the swim my n5 is back and working.. 
surprised.. only a little mark on the top of the screen which is slowly going away! ha! 
so... over the year, without a case and screen protector -;
5 drops on concrete
1 drop out of the pocked when cycling and then I ran over it with my back wheel...
1 swim in the bath
3 drops in the gym from 1m+ when doing pull-ups.
it's beaten up to bits but it's still going.. lucky eh!

My Nexus 5 with a screen protector has survived a hand off of drops on concert, its a beast the back normally pops off and some really tiny scratches nothing more. Dropped it a few times at the gym but it has that bouncy floor so no real issues there. Never had it go for a swim thou.
N5 with Lollipop running very well here. I flashed the image.
Battery life has improved over the past week to the point that I can get 4-5h SOT, but it ends up draining heavily in areas of poor or low signal which is annoying.

do I? first phone to get that much damage
I look after my stuff, simply been very unlucky with my N5 - it's not even insured for that matter.
