Done both of these, and yes I suspect I've done some damage some how to the 3G aerial and/or chip.

Haven't been into a $G area to see if that will work..annoying, but as the Chassis had several cracks in it already, the phone wasn't going to last forever.

As i'm off to the US with work shortly, will see what prices are like over there, otherwise, will be on the hunt for a replacement.

Went in CPW yesterday and traded in my Nexus 5, Don't think I'll ever buy an LG device again after all the issues I've had with it.

Really poor battery life, GPS issues, App crashes, Camera non functioning (5.1.1), random switch off's.

As much as I liked the experience of stock android, I don't think there should have been that many issues coming from a device that has been cooperatively made with Google.

my S6 feels really good so far, even though I do miss the nexus in some ways, I don't think I would've held on for another iteration.

Cataclysm is awesome, I've been using it ever since it came out for 5.0.1, I just flashed the 5.1.1 R3 and my signal seemed to have improved.

I tried cataclysm just before I traded it in.

Made Facebook crash, camera still crashed, battery still poor etc etc.

The battery would still drain when not in use, I left my S6 off charge last night and it dropped about 1%.

I don't have any problems with Cataclysm, in sleep mode after 12-14 hours my battery goes down by 2-3%. Although my N5 is rooted and I have took care of the wakelocks from Google Services which drained my battery in less than 20 hours with light use.

ROOT+Greenify is a great combination, the issues with battery are with android not the actual device. Google should sort out their issues...

Unfortunately it was little too late. I would sometimes get barely 6 hours out of it. I'd only be browsing the Web. I must have had a faulty unit or something. I nearly went to the dark side and nearly got an ipbone!

Just like you said, it was most likely a faulty unit. Thank god you have actually chosen the S6 over I-aids... had apple products in the past. NEVER AGAIN!

I love my N5, had lots of custom ROM's on it. But at the end stock with very few tweaks is usually the best, for me any ways. Although if a new nexus came out with a sensible price tag and had; 3200mah battery, 18mp camera, 1080p & 5inch screen. I would probably upgrade to it, doubt all those criteria's will be met in the near future. But we'll wait and see... :rolleyes:

How long have you had it? Im wondering what it would be like on a newer model, one that hasn't had its battery in use for a while.

Can anyone assist me in a little issue with chrome.
I had to return chrome to factory install as when using public WiFi spots I just got a big red padlock and couldn't do anything.
Restoring chrome allowed me to proceed at my own risk as per the usual way it worked.

Anyway now chrome is all updated, I no longer have the little square next to the address bar which shows how many pages I had opened. I just have 3 dots. Anyone know if this is in the settings somewhere?

Recently my N5 has started to have bad battery life, Just think its come to end of life for the battery.

Love the phone, might just replace the battery and see how far that gets me. Don't really want to part with it just yet.

New battery has made a huge difference to me, I was getting less than 2 hours SOT towards the end, now it's way back up to how it was when I got the phone. Actually running a non-rooted stock 5.1.1 right now and the battery is awesome.

Those running their Nexus 5 since launch are over 600 days by now. Mine gets charged literally every day and is on 24/7. That's a lot of cycles and I guess we should be expecting the battery to have lost some capacity by now.

Any recommendations for where to get replacement battery from?

I figured the same as my battery was crap. The replacement battery has has no affect though. Lollipop really rapes my Nexus 5

Did you get an original or a cheapo one ?
Mine was a genuine one and like said above it's like it was at the start again.
