My order has been shipped! 32GB black N5 was supposed to ship around the 8th but got the email through this evening, fantastic!

I would have thought so but you'll likely to experience slightly slower charge times depending on the thickness and the material used on the case.

Any idea how long the charging wires are?
 
Someone asked about the battery life earlier? Early comments from the blogs support a much improved battery life on the N5. Here is a typical comment:

"Kitkat features support for low power sensors using a process called “hardware sensor batching”.

Essentially, Android will now queue up sensory input to be processed in batches, which means that the central processor doesn’t need to be in a high-power state all the time to accept and process data from the phone’s sensors like the GPS, accelerometers and gyroscopes.

The end result is much improved battery life, while maintaining the data logging and sensory activities that facilitate great features like Google Now, fitness trackers and location reporting."
 
Couple questions...

Sorry if these have been covered.
Can anyone tell me if the phone gets particularly hot after intense use, e.g. Games or videos etc.
Also, are there any good value car holders people would recommend.

Ordered black 32gb just after 6pm on 31st. Still in pending... O well, I'm sure it will be here soon.

If it was a store purchase surely 8 dead pixels warrants a straight replacement? Would be harsh if they don't.

CPW will exchange any sim free handset bought in store (no refunds) within 14 days of purchase .

If the handset is faulty the length is 28 days from the date of purchase. So one way or the other you should be able to get an exchange.

That sounds good one of the reasons I've always turned Google now off is because it killed the battery.

Was looking at that but am put off by the upto 21 days delivery on it.

Was also looking at the SPIGEN Google Nexus 5 Case Protective [Neo Hybrid] case from the rain forest but again, 5 days before despatch and the higher cost are putting me off.

On a trip to the metro centre the CPW store had nothing but a screen protector (£18 which can chuff off) :( I was hoping to have something by my delivery next week, as my hands are a little on the oily side (I have a skin condition that requires a lot of moisturising)
 
Been using the phone for a couple days now, and due the review might have praised the camera, but it's still rubbish. Better than the n4x camera? Yes. But that's faint praise. The HTC One that I had as well, had a much better camera. My biggest gripe with it is the fact that no matter if I manual focus or auto focus, pictures are always blurry /out of focus. Htc one managed fine though. Otherwise it's a superb phone, and bar the camera , the best phone I have used in every department.
