I noticed my battery drained fast last night, looked at the battery stats and Chrome had used double what the screen had and i hadnt used chrome much at all..........I was a tad inebriated so didnt investigate more, but def is an issue imo

I got rid of Chrome straight away so not sure on usage there.

I use Opera, get some crashes though so may need an update.

That is probably more to do with Chrome than the N5, this version of chrome hasn't exactly been brilliant.

This happened with my galaxy nexus, I had to charge at least once per day
I now refuse to accept a phone with less than 3000 mAh battery
 
My battery seems pretty good I think. Day two went over 14 hours, 2:20 hours screen on and 30% left. Not too bad for this early.

I'm really not happy with the delivery costs, especially with how Google are handling it. People that ordered after me had theirs shipped earlier. But that said "shipped" doesn't actually seem to mean it has been shipped, more that its ready for Parcelforce to pick it up some day. And "shipped by 5th"? It is in-stock but they cant ship it next day, or even tell me when it will be shipped?

I work for a delivery company, spend all day tracking parcels, so maybe this is bothering me more than it should lol.
 
I had a 5 min play with one at CPW. Compared to my Note 1 it is incredibly fast and it feels really good in hand. It's so much faster than my Note that I think there might be a problem with it!

The screen is gorgeous and the new fonts and icons work very well. My wife a Nokia 920 user wanted to ditch it as soon as she handled the N5. We'll probably be replacing both handsets for these.

I took a few photos in the store and I think they're better than my Note and Nokia 920. Holding fire till a few more reviews are published before buying.
 
I like that you can disable notifications for messages from individual users within hangouts and it puts a red banner reminder at top of screen when u access the message conversation.
