Better late than never....

I'm thinking of getting rid of my aging desktop and wondered if I could use a Nexus 7 for downloading torrents to a NAS. Would this be possible? How would I unzip etc.?

I have a Synology NAS and with download station installed (on the NAS) if you click on a magnetic link on web page on a tablet/phone it automatically opens Download station on the NAS and downloads there.

Just got my nexus 7 back from RMA repair, new internal speaker module, working great again.

I factory reset before I sent away, got most of my apps back on and updated but seem to be having this issue in chrome and Firefox where I view or submit web pages properly, ie yesterday in chome was having issues logging in to my YouTube account, would timeout, now I can't edit a forum post on ocuk the page times out in both Firefox and chrome.

Tried reinstalling, updating, deleting cache etc no luck, can browse to other sites fine at the time this is happening

Seems to be on anything that requires https submit,I know ocuk doesn't use https but still I get the issue, something is not right

Why is it that whenever I type using the N7 I end up just writing gibberish? I've had it for almost a year now. Whenever I type a message on my phone, it's 95% correct, minus some odd occurrences that are usually the result of the buttons being too small. And yet I then go to the bigger N7, and it's like I'm using it upside down. Does anybody else have this issue? Missing space button presses etc.?

Perhaps you are typing too fast, it doesn't seem to work well when trying to type on it like a computer keyboard, or you might have a faulty one where your touch presses are registering in the wrong place. Do you find that you "miss" app buttons or links within apps when you press directly on them? I recall a few people had this issue when it first came out.

Incidentally I tried the text-to-speech function within the Good for Enterprise app this morning and it was terrible and with seemingly no way to punctuate! Not sure if this is a Google keyboard issue or the app itself (presumably the keyboard). I usually use Swype to type and find it fantastic.

Mines doing the white blinking light thing tonight. It's done it a few times in the past as I don't use it very often but tonight there doesn't seem to be anything that'll sort it and I've tried pressing all the buttons.

This is the third one I've had now but it's out of warranty. How are Google/Asus at fixing things out of warranty?

I was just streaming some TV and noticed that something was downloading in the background 5 times  it's called "dlsecuretb_1.0.0.2.exe". Does anyone know if this software is malicious? I deleted it from my downloads folder but I'm concerned it may have auto installed something on my tablet as it was quickly following by my RSID secure token app to open, which I hadn't tapped.

I scanned the tablet with Avast but nothing detected. All my apps now seem to be updating one by one - suspicious
