NFL 2016 Season

I'm not at all happy about this  I was hoping that Oakland was going to move back there. Now it's all up in air again for the Raiders, it depends on whether the Chargers decides to follow the Rams into LA, if San Diego decides to go against building them a new stadium.

I wouldn't be happy about the Raiders moving to St. Louis either.

St. Louis Raiders? - I think not.

& what's with the teams having to pay the League a 'Relocation Fee?' has the league become an Estate Agent or something? I don't recall reading about monies being paid to the league when Teams such as the Rams, Raiders, Oilers/Titans moved cities 20 or so years back?

it would have made more sense for the raiders/chargers to have been allowed the move as i think they had plans to stadium share.

i'm the same with the "relocation fee", the nfl will be making money all ways up from this deals in future, so can see this starting to get stupid :(.

Dont know about the CBA of the nfl
But i do know the nhl and the relocation fee doesnt actually go the league. It gets split by the owners of all other teams, same with expansion fee. Could be different due to different CBA

either way it still seems wrong, that the city losing a team, especially if they've put money into stadium, don't receive anything ?

but another city is getting a team! :p
not gonna say the move is right or wrong, I have no emotional attachment to the city or team. From what I've read Kroenke had a lease with St.Louis and if the stadium didn't rank in the top5 he could break the lease and run on a year-to-year lease till 2025.
as for the reason of the move no idea. Maybe St.Louis will get lucky and get another team at some point and it can't be any worse than the Rams ;)

bit of a daft move by st louis if they had that sort of thing in the lease :(, also spotted that Kronke owns the land they plan to build on.

hey long as they take fisher i'll find them a team :D

Must be tough for Rams fans; I love the Vikings, but if they decided to pack up and head to LA then I'd be looking for a new team to support. I'm a big fan of US sports, but this aspect of them I find really distasteful.

if they'd been created in the LA area, like i think the chargers were, i could understand why, but the rams came into LA from cleveland from what i've seen so its slightly different.

i know it won't happen, but for me, if the sports want to move teams they should at least pay back the tax payers monies used to create stadiums etc to the city.

When you read the history of numerous american sports teams it's all over the place like. No wonder all the originals of the sport have the strongest followings.

Winnipeg Jets started in Atlanta, but the original Winnipeg team before that are now Arizona...Atlanta also had a team become Calgary Flames and Colorado original team became New jersey....it's so confusing! lol

I liked the Rams because my fave sports team are St Louis Blues. But now that doesn't fit so well. AH well, I'm fine being neutral with NFL really as It's not my passion like NHL is.
Saying that, I'm still holding out hope for Las Vegas team which has an application in as I visit there a fair bit.

Looking forward to Chiefs@Pats tonight, should be a cracker!

Steelers@Broncos could have been a classic, but with Antonio Brown out and Big Ben playing hurt I can't help but feel that Denver will roll over them.

I couldn't stay awake after the first game, so just found Packers Cards highlights on YouTube (annoyingly they have the result in the corner the whole time?!?! Why do that?!?!) What an amazing game it looked to be!

Chiefs was a weird one. No urgency from anyone at any point. I'd be ****ed if I was a Chiefs fan, they didn't look like they wanted to win it.

Agreed! I'd been up for almost 21 hours by the time last night's game finished and I was still wide awake, couldn't take my eyes off the game!

Well...this one is anything BUT close!

Absolute domination so far from the Panthers. If Seattle don't pull 1 score back by half time I'll be doing something else until the late game as this is 1 way traffic :o
