NFL 2016 Season

The problem is that the Steelers are pretty terrible on the road and 4 of our next 5 games are on the road. Winning the division is going to be difficult from here and with 5 losses already I don't see a wildcard spot in the playoffs either.

So whilst losing to the Cowboys is nothing to be ashamed of, it is quite possibly the loss that means we miss the playoffs.

I still think we will win the Division as we have an easier schedule (On paper) than Baltimore. I don't want to discount the Bengals, but they don't look themselves this Season.

:D Of course I joke. I'm just getting a bit fed up with cringing every time Cutler throws the ball.

Oh yea, it's a stinky team and we're going to have a top-5 draft pick at this rate. Cutler was bad on Sunday, but it doesn't help we have loads of other holes in our roster.

Even so I would never contemplate supporting that team.

Any other steelers fans in absolute despair at how this season is going? Now with Cam heyward out teams are going to run straight through us :(

Haley needs to trust ben more on offense and switch to no huddle when its stuttering. Think the only way we make the playoffs is if we outscore teams as our D is simply not good enough.

Dupree can't come back soon enough. I guess we're lucky that none of the AFC North teams are doing particularly great. I would kill to have Baltimore D with our offense...superbowl worthy.

talk that goff is starting against miami, don't understand it, nothing has changed from the first handful of games we played from what i can see

either fisher is bowing to pressure from the guys that got goff selected or he wants to prove a point that he isn't ready and get him battered (which being fisher wouldn't surpise me :( ).

Vikings have dropped off a cliff since the Bye week :(

Only helped by the Packers being average this year although the Lions can push for the NFC North title.

I thought the lions would really struggle this season with Megaton retiring, I'm so glad they have proved me wrong. Looking forward to watching them on thanksgiving

Surely it's more about the offence is really struggling, why not try Goff?

i think its more down to the offensive line and the receivers than keenum, all i've heard is goff is a better deep threat, it doesn't make any difference when the o/line leaks like a sieve :(

a stupid turnover again from us, secure the damn ball when you have it

looks like the dolphins are doing their best to help us, thank you miami.

edit(s):

11 missed extra points tonight a new record

alonso 2 face masks for miami tonight, and hes wearing bright orange gloves don't know who thought that was a good idea :D

okay, i don't know which idiot keeps calling them short side passes for us , but he needs to be told to stop it cos it NEVER works.

oh great, just seen the stats into the 3rd quarter for goff:

passes 20+ yds = 0/0

so much for him being a deep threat.

defence is just handing this game to miami with utterly stupid fouls :(

deserved win for miami after their 2nd half performance.

shocking play calling on offence again, poor performance from the no1 pick, and appalling play from the defence in the 2nd half of the 4th quarter.

Hard to judge him just yet in those conditions surely? Mind you, even with only 30 seconds, he wasn't putting the ball anywhere his receivers could even make a try.

to totally judge him yes, but it was a poor show, couple of passes to were way to high to open receivers and the commentators said this had been an issue of his for a while, so he still does it and hasn't manage to sort it ?, would hope rams coaches could sort that.

for me he didn't really show anything positive, wasn't really comfortable on the move, his feeling for people coming to him wasn't great and some open throws were wayward.

but with that he took a lot of hits and was getting crowded in the pocket which won't help.

what concerned me is that they brought him in as they reckon he was more of a deep threat , but they didn't really try anything

Watched the condensed version of the Skins v Packers and have to say, we looked pretty damn good. Cousins is getting better as the season goes on. The amount of 3rd downs he seemed to convert with 20 yard passes a lot of the time! (9/14 in total!) I'm actually looking forward to the Cowboys game as I feel we have a shot (sure, that gets quoted back to me if we lose ;) ) as we only really lost the last one on Cousins Int in the 4th.

It also helped I enjoyed it as I have Garcon and Kelley on my fantasy team (although Kelley on the bench)

I'm really getting into the NFL recently. I usually bang it on when I can't get to sleep from 1am.

Is tonight's game worth a watch. I'm just looking at the Houston Texans PF so far this season - 161 (average just under 18 per game).

The Oakland Raiders seem better on the road as well - 2-2 v 5-0. Why would that be?

How many dropped catches last night? Must have been into double figures.

I didn't realise it was held in Mexico until I started watching last night. The Raiders seem to like travelling even though it was classed as a 'home' game.

Anytime you have division leaders playing I'd say it's worth a watch.... also, I wouldn't put too much stock in the PF stat.. overall it's a useless number when comparing two teams.

As for the road thing.... that's a bit strange, especially when it's that much of a difference between home and road. Sometimes it's just the luck of the draw. I know in '14 the Cowboys finished 12-4 with a perfect 8-0 on the road.... wtf??
