guess it differs for everyone and also on the batch of Creed, smell is such a subjective sense

i have the black and green bottle from Amazon and genuine decant of Creed and after 20mins, they both smell the same (to me anyway)

Unless you knew your base notes, an average person could not tell the difference imo

Will deffo get some genuine Creed for the special occasions. Only slight concern is that it will be in a plastic atomiser spray which could potential leach? Can't deny that for £40.00 for 30ml seems to be a lot better value than 50ml at £170.00 for the genuine bottle though!

Might order that to compare to my original Creed Aventus, there's the fruity one as well with more reviews but many of them mention that one has no staying power, whereas this woody one lasts all day, apparently.

ive looked into trying to buying bottle and do a split but Tom's prices work out cheaper! he must buy way less than retail price, his 17X01 batch is a good one too

Exactly! Buying a large Flacon from John Lewis works out around £470 so by the time you've bought the smaller decant bottles/atomisers and had the patience to do it while not spilling a drop - it can't work out any cheaper when sold to others to recoup the value.

As you say he must be buying way cheaper than retail... A gentlemen's agreement with the factory or Creed themselves?

I had it last week at the barbers :) full cut and shave, hot towel etc and then lemon spray before I walked out, felt good. :)

100% - usually give myself a treat once in a while for £27.00 my Barber spends 1hr on it. Gotta have that fade and beard shape up spot on :D

What date is stated on your CNDI mate? i just got the same Batch No and dated 05/2018 - smells amazing!

On another note, i received Creed Viking genuine sample today and it smells Exactly like Perfume Parlour's version: https://www.perfume-parlour.co.uk/vikeengs-for-men-1765

Viking is not for everyone, its an acquired taste so to speak, glad i didnt blind buy and buy a bigger bottle.

Armaf club de nuit can be had on eBay or amazon. I got mine today after reading this thread and having had the real Creed Aventus numerous times it really does smell identical to it. Excellent value @ £25
 
I ordered 6 samples from Musk & Hustle after they were mentioned here, only took 5 days to arrive and they added an extra one for free, they all smell great, I could pick the Aventus clone out easily, hope they last well.
