I’ve had a look around for the xerjoff and can’t final any credible clones, even the 5ml samples are a bit dear lol.
Just got my aventus genuine sample and got to say it smells very near to Perfumer's Choice Victor Eau De Toilette (Amazon)
Tested on paper and the victor is a little more aggressive and smells stronger whilst the aventus just mellow out a little and is a smooth smell.
The perfume parlours isn’t close, it’s got more of a fruiter smell and units quite prominent
Think I need to get me an armaf sample too

Yeah i tried to look and couldnt find any which im gutted about as i love renaissance.
Yeah as I said pp's aventus is significantly more citrussy on the open but I think after a while comes slightly more similar. May give some other aventus clones a try.
Just realised, PP do 2 versions of Aventus, one fruity and one woody, the Woody one is a little dearer at £11 for 13ml spray. But this is in genuine 10ml Decant territory so maybe not the best value for money here.

Armaf came today - excellent service from the seller on Amazon considering they advised Thursday delivery and it comes on a Monday

Batch No is 255620, 01137 "Made in France" on the label.
Looking forward to giving it a try tomorrow as wearing the old time classic Cool Water today.

nice one, am really impressed with the Victor No9 - Perfumer's Choice, ive done a side by side with genuine Aventus and on dry down, i cannot tell the difference (im no expert though)

Wicked, ive read the opening is a little harsh and hints of Lemon Pledge but after 10-20mins, it smells lovely, let us know your thoughts!
So as much as I would like to tell you the best aftershaves out there I can't, purely for the reason that I got Creed Aventus about 8 years ago because it was an anniversary perfume and I told everybody about it, then everybody started wearing it and it annoyed me. Then about 3 years ago I got some Dior Sauvage, I got it pretty much the day it came out, told people and literally everybody had it on about 4 weeks later.
So now I have a daily whiff (a few years old now) and a special occasion whiff (released this year) that I haven't told anybody about, people whiff me and are like, OMG your whiff is nice and i'm like sorry bro I cant tell you what this whiff is. Top Secret.

Wow, this thread has moved quick the last few weeks, can't believe how far back I had to go to find this quote! Anyway, I got a few testers a couple of weeks back, the 'Armani Strong With You' being one of them, have to say I really like it, so ordered a bottle. I'm not good at describing or picking out that they smell of, but I can't help but think it has some kind of caramel wiff to it?
Tried some Creed Viking, not impressed...

why are buying commercially made mass produced smells then? if you don't want anyone else to be wearing the same as you then surely you need to go home made?
your logic is flawed. as in if it's mass produced and readily available. all they will need to do is go into a shop and smell some tasters and identify exactly what you are wearing and then buy it that way.
I actually did go home-made kinda with my special occasion smell, you can buy it from Harrods in London and they focus on oils and make your own but they had 3/4 sprays and one of them is amazing, HJ.
My other one is only mentioned once is all of these pages because its a very unassuming bottle and not one people usually test.
Cartier declaration was one of my favourites in the original batches but when they changed the batch I wasn't impressed.
Caramel would certainly be a good word to describe it! Warm caramel for sure.

Sprayed at 07:30 this morning and well I certainly got the lemon smell at the start - was more like lemon sherbert for me as it smelt 'fizzy' but within 15 minutes leaving for work at 0745 the dry down was starting to happen and the smell is literally incredible!! As I got in my car there was a lady walking past, who clearly got the whiff of it in the air as she made a purposeful look over and smiled (I'll take that as the first compliment!
).Sat here at work now and it just screams class - no regrets on this so far!

EDIT: the scent is really now starting to project now the dry down has completed. It is literally beast mode and strong but not overpowering. I sprayed once each side of the neck and one on each wrist.

I'm wearing PP's Silver Mountain Water today, smells fresh! have ordered some genuine SMW to compare.

I have the same thought about keeping genuine Creed for special occasions
The black and green bottle on Amazon? One of my neighbours has that and insisted I try a bit on my arm, I happened to be wearing real Aventus at the time (17V01). IMO it smells nothing like it, Armaf CdNI is much better.
Also, I've tried a few Perfume Parlour variations, Hmmm, some smell like the real thing (I have the real deal, even if just decants) Others not so much. I also had one that didn't get on well with my skin and I had to wash it off, was stinging quite a bit which I don't get with the original or other fragrances.

Might order that to compare to my original Creed Aventus, there's the fruity one as well with more reviews but many of them mention that one has no staying power, whereas this woody one lasts all day, apparently.
