There is probably a placebo effect going on when you're essentially running a subjective, sighted test of this stuff and that could easily make a much bigger difference than anything else (like skin types etc..) in terms of how these things are perceived.

I guess perhaps some people perhaps have a poor sense of smell, or perhaps if you regularly have a cold or sinus issues you would have more trouble smelling this stuff in general or maybe need to use more/perceive that it isn't there any more after a shorter time span.

But I strongly suspect much of the differences could be explained by the fact it is sighted testing of something where you know that product X is the special, expensive one - this sort of thing has been seen plenty of times with hi fi equipment, wines etc..etc..

I'm another who finds the opening of Armaf to be a good Aventus copy, but the dry down and longevity isn't as good as the real deal. Maybe it's the fact that Creed use real high quality ingredients, like the ambergris for example. There is no way Armaf use real ambergris in CdNI.

Pineapple vintage intense is a much better alternative to Aventus. It's not as cheap as CdNI but it's much better, and they do all sorts of variations. X Batch is like Aventus and Sauvage had a baby, very nice.

It’s well documented that opening of cdni is very harsh and takes about 20mins to start smelling anything like aventus.

I’ve just sprayed my arm with cdni as a test and I find this to be true for the bottle i have.

Even if I’m spraying it on me every few hours to top it up 100ml for £25 still works out far cheaper than buying the original again :D

Really. Don’t know what’s happening with mine then. When I had the real creed I and other people could still smell it on me nearly 24hrs later even after a shower sometimes and would always stay on my clothes for days. With the Armaf I put the same 2 sprays on and I can smell it for two hours max then it just completely disappears. I even asked a few people could they smell it and they said no lol. Couldn’t even smell it on my clothes either. Maybe mines a fake I did get it off eBay rather than Amazon.

Just ordered some of the Armaf to see what it's like. Could do with a new cheap daily to wear!

Edit: also giving PE360 Red a go as well.

Try rubbing some vaseline on your neck before spraying

If that was the case then wouldn’t all the aftershaves I have react the same? Every other aftershave I own lasts all day on me even cheap ones.

That is why there are cheap ones and expensive ones,some of my cheap ones dont last all day either.
