Al rasasi - la yuqawam is classed as a tuscan leather clone. But it has its own unique base, it also has the same 'beast mode' projection
 
I love this thread. Recently got into the more sophisticated stuff via a workmate as his wife works on a Tom Ford counter so he always has a lot of samples on his desk, and it made me want to develop a better collection. Had/have stuff like Boss, L'Eau D'Issey, Play, Ultraviolet, Cool Water, Blue Jeans, Luna Rossa Sport in the cupboard, so nothing too fancy. Long list of samples to try out but I've got an Aventus decant on order through a mutual friend.
 
Ooh that would be handy, there are a few TF frags worth owning. I have a few decants, Noir Extreme which is great in the winter as is Oud Wood, and Neroli Portofino and ******* Fabulous are great for summer.

While I like Tuscan Leather and Tobacco Vanille but I wouldn't wear them.

Can you give me a link to where you got this from? Another poster added an ebay seller link but it seems to not be available from that seller anymore and i'm hesitant to buy from ebay as i'm pretty sure i've got some fakes a while back. Cheers
 
Does anyone have any recommendations as to a legit places to get samples from? I have so many I want to try and see how they perform over an afternoon etc. I've seen both ScentSamplesUK and FragranceSamplesUK - anyone vouch for either of those?
 
Just got my pack of Nitro Stubbies (Sample sizes) from Musk and Hustle - not only is the first scent I tried amazing (No. 208 TF Oud Wood Clone) the pack came with little info cards for each of the scents, and possibilities for combinations etc. These guys actually have a passion for what they do it seems, will be using them again.

Nice selection of TF. You need some Noir Extreme and Oud Wood though if you don't have any. :D

Neroli Portofino is a lovely scent for the hot summer we're having.

Nice Collection ! I need some TF in mine. (Might post my collection up later, I’ve weeded out a lot of rubbish and kept the best)

I've got the standard Noir, the extreme was a bit too extreme for me lol. Yep have Oud Wood (was actually my 1st TF), its very nice mixed with Cafe Rose (sacrilege I know but it honestly smells divine).

Agreed, Neroli Portofino is bloody lovely in the summer. But IMHO Fleur De Portofino just edges it. And completely agree with you on Tuscan Leather and Tobacco Vanille, they smelt absolutely amazing (I kept sniffing the testing strip all the way home) I just don't think I could ever wear them. Weird huh!

How do you find vetiver? I tried it in a department store and to me it smelt like burnt rubber :/ quite an acquired taste
