Dior Homme Parfum is a different release to Dior Homme Intense. :p

Dior Homme parfum - 2014

So it is a newer release but still it’s been out a while now. Quite difficult to find I believe.

I had a split of Creed Bois Du Portugal arrive today and I love it. Real beast scent that only requires one or two doses and you're set for the day. I found the scent became increasingly pleasing through the day, getting the occasional light whiff of the cedar throughout. I have some Aventus coming tomorrow too, after having a sample I had to take the plunge. All expensive stuff but worth it really, since it's one splash and you're set for the day.

I've grown a small collection of stable favs:
Creed aventus
Creed Bois Du Portugal
Spicebomb
Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
Dior sauvage
Terres d'Hermes
Chanel allure homme


The last two are solid dailies whereas the rest are far too expensive to splash around.
 
Tried a sample of Versace Pour Homme today. Very impressed at how clean and unoffensive it is.

Also bought a bottle of Armaf Tres Nuit, which is apparently a good replica of Creed's GIT. I've never actually sampled GIT, but Tres Nuit is a great scent.

After receiving a sample of Dior Homme Parfum and wearing it for a couple of days, I've just purchased a 75ml bottle :)
The opening is similar with the iris, but differs with the orange, rose, leather and woods.
Really strong stuff too with excellent projection and sillage.
 
I've been wearing Dior Savage recently, not a huge fan, but it's okay. Also, my usual Stronger With You, but it's when I put CDNI back on and I get a compliment from a complete stranger...

I knew you’d like it :D it’s like a smoother, more refined DHI. Just the right amount of iris , with the leather amped up a notch ! I also get hints of cocoa mixed with smoke or something. It’s very strong, two sprays lasts me like, 12 hours (great atomiser / sprayer too)

Edit. Weirdly enough, I blind bought it after reading reviews, and hated it at first. The initial spray is very in your face. But when it settles down, there’s nothing else quite like it. It smells like it should be a £200 fragrance!

These arrived today, and along with a little hand written note they threw in an extra 2 free Nitro Stubbies they thought might suit the cold weather also. Sound bunch of lads.

Received a sample of Amouage Interlude today.

Pretty strong stuff. :eek: dare I say, a stronger initial blast than DHP!

I can’t quite put my finger on what it reminds me of.

Sort of like cooking a marshmallow on a smoky bonfire. Mixed with spices. This would work really well on a cold autumn/winter day.

Interlude is one of my favourites. I have an early bottle from 2012 before they reformulated it, that stuff is nuclear, I only go 1 spray. The newer stuff is quite strong, I recommend spraying away from your nose, around your body and not your neck.
 
I sampled a bunch of stuff in Debenhams this morning as I noticed the smellys near the front. Have to say a lot of the designer stuff is just... meh and much of a much. Now I'm getting into it a bit more it helped me understand the terminology better though (e.g. if someone says something is quite powdery I know exactly what they mean now).

My workmate gave me a Tuscan Leather sample and I quite enjoyed that, so thinking of getting Rasis La Yuqaqwam as it's a 99% ringer.
