Edit. It’s probably one of the thickest, most potent fragrances I’ve ever smelt. (In a good way) Even more so than the amouage sample I received a few weeks ago

There's still some online stockists... head says get a sample first, head also says if it's a lot of people's no1 designer frag they're probably onto something.

Any budget winter/ autumn suggestions ? (CINDI price ) can see a few winter recommendations above but slightly above the price range I was hoping for

For Winter - Fendi Fan di Fendi Homme or Assoluto.
Autumn - Mont Blanc Individual.

I bought the DHP off AllBeauty and the Fahrenheit Parfum off Boots - who have some Cyber Monday discounts on frags - if I like them then cool, if I don't then I won't have lost anything in the long run as people will always pay good money for discontinued or older formulations (as newer seems to be invariably worse).

Also going to order about 50 things off Fragrance Samples to try out, terrible new hobby this.

Bought a bottle of Versace Pour Homme Dylan Blue today. Wasn’t quite sure I liked it at first, but after wearing it all day it’s great. Had some female compliments already

Reminds me of a mix of acqua di gio profumo, and Sauvage.

Just had a sample of Dior homme parfum and to me it smells like lipstick? It may be just the initial smell but I get a very make up type scent.

Yeah that's the iris in it. It dries down to a more leather scent though.

I didn’t click with it at first spray. (Thought it smelt like old woman

) but it dries down to something amazing. I think the initial blast can be a bit off putting.

If you find DHP a bit too much I suggest you look at Valentino Uomo Intense (or Noir Absolute) or maybe even Prada Luna Rossa Black, They are a similar vibe but less of the lipstick scent.

Valentino Uomo Intense is one of my all time favourites though, so I am slightly bias!

I've been going a bit OTT with the expensive aftershaves of late. Today I decided on something a bit fresh and clean, so out came the old spice!

It's a classic.

Just smelt it again after a few hours and it's grew on me a lot, very nice.

You’ll be able to smell it 8+ hours later, it’s a real great performer. I can sometimes still smell it on clothes after they’ve been in the wash

Depends what you like, DHI is arguably easier to wear, some might say a little gourmand. DHP is more grown up.
