Nice pongs and gorgeous whiffs. The Aftershave thread!

It’s because I saw some Jo Malone ones and thought if my car could smell like Ombré Leather or something I’d be quite pleased every time I got in it! I see Zara do a few with some similar little diffusers that clip to an air vent to disperse the scent and which look more unisex in the notes, but other options welcome.
 
Got oud for greatness today. Probably the most well packaged / boxed perfume I own - and I own a few :p

the whole package oozes quality. Very happy with it (Xmas present to myself) :D

Nice. I like how you've said you like everything about it, except for the fragrance itself! :p I assume you've had a sample beforehand as its not the cheapest bottle I've seen? Cos it'll be grim if you don't like the aroma from it! :D

Oh I love the fragrance itself, and I have indeed tested it numerous times. :p blind buying is never a good idea especially at those prices ! I remember using one of my testers at 5am before work, and was still getting compliments at 2-3pm when I finished. It lasts a very long time. :D

edit. You thinking of picking up any fragrance du bois?

Out of the sample sets I've tried all of them and i would comfortably buy the following :- Oud Orange Intense, London Oud & Milano. I think the Parisian one is a little too flowery for my tastes but still pleasant. I think the missus and her daughter described the Oud Rouge Intense as 'The boots perfume department!", the New York 5th Avenue and Intense were a little too musky for my liking, and i can't remember what the other ones from the Shades range were like!

In terms of buying though spending 500 quid on a 100ml bottle is a low priority at the moment. Might get the 15ml bottles instead as its 'only' £115 each! :o
 
Just bought Guerlain L'Homme Idéal Extrême yesterday, very nice sitting next to my Y live edp and Valentino uomo intense.

I also don't trust YouTube infuencers any more, sure they can be useful for getting you started but as you know a lot of what they suggest isn't all that great, and can sometimes be terrible.

£500 on a 100ml bottle is insane. I thought br540 extrait was expensive, but wow. The FdB bottles must have good longevity right ?
 
This is where FB groups come in for the win, as even if you're a bottle snob that needs full presentation if you're patient you can often find a bottle anywhere from only sprayed once/twice to 10ml left. Or of course if you're willing to decant yourself you can get that £500 bottle then sell 10ml for £50 a time and make your money back (groups like Fragcomm and Fragrance Samples UK discourage profiteering) if it's the sort of thing where 20ml will last you years due to minimal use from rotation of other stuff or potency.

Nay. Retails at £250. But deals can also be had. Selfridges had a 10% off code just before Xmas which worked with niche perfumery. (Took it down to £225)

im wearing it today. One of my faves. I think I’m done with my fragrance journey now to be honest...Spent enough :D
