Ninja Gaiden II

Yeah I thought about that but what about if you have no ki at all before the fight? It doesn't seem to replenish when the fight starts, so I'm not sure if it's that. Also as far as I'm aware I couldn't actually do anything just before it exploded, it was like a cutscene.

God this game is driving me nuts, really enjoyed the first couple of levels. Now im at some bit where i have to cross a gap using a bar, yet there are archers on the other side so whenever i try to cross they knock me off, what the **** am i supposed to do about it?

In fact these damn archers seem intent on ruining my enjoyment of the game, in combat it seems to be impossible to avoid their arrows.

Can you not kill them off with your arrow before you cross?

Kill the archers? :p

I'm fairly sure you have the bow at that point.

Btw to avoid arrows, do the block dash thing then jump, and repeat. Alternate direction if necessary. It's also the fastest way to move I believe, much faster than just running along.

If you completed the first one, you'll likely find this one a bit easier :)

Agreed. My rental copy arrived today and i'm finding it not too hard going. Having completed the first and having a big THREAD about it back in the day and reading how hard i thought that was, this kinda seems a helluva lot easier :D

Graphics wise it's not too bad, it's not a massive leap forward (basically high res now) from the first and i think Sigma on the PS3 actually looks a tad better. I don't remember the camera being so bad? As it's been said, being attacked on stairwells especially, is not fun. Well worth the rental so far though :)

I have no arrows, used them all on the kajillion flying things that appeared before hand, had to kill the last 3 with shuriken as well. ARGGGHHH

Whoa! Just noticed the amount of tearing that happens when circling quickly

/edit - and swords and claws that poke through walls before you break them down. Oh dear :o

Are people upgrading their weapons equally or just doing one? I've got my sword at level 2 and don't know whether i should upgrade it to level three or the staff and claws to level 2.

I upgraded the lunar staff to max straight away, and I haven't upgraded anything since, because I only use the staff. Don't like any of the other weapons I have obtained so far, and I'm at the end of Chapter 7 atm.

chapter 2 boss was kicking my arris earlier
and i think i missed the rod thing for the trials so i gotta go back for that

first time i died was on the second boss, he's silly easy once you work out the simple tactic.

Got the game yesterday

As I thought, boring as hell after a few hours

And I'm surprised at how easy it is, last Ninja Gaiden I had, think it was black, I just got owned all over the shop and stopped playing, this one playing on Warrior, which I'm sure isnt the hardest when you finish the game and unlock a new one, but still, way too easy
