*** Nintendo Switch ***

Bowsers fury looks immense. Had it on pre-order for ages. Watched the trailer last night - giggled with excitement. The visuals look astounding - Nintendo Switch really shines in Nintendo's hands.

I have pre-ordered Super Mario 3D World / Bowswer's Fury :) It was £50 in the end but I caved because the CEX route would have been more expensive (even for 2nd hand!). Also, there is an ongoing issue with scalpers buying up the stock of video games and accessories (e.g. throttle for flights) as well as the consoles themselves. The sooner we make scalping illegal, the better.

For you and anyone else who is preordering, I think it's a bit cheaper at shop to. Something like £42-43 rather than £50. Saw it on hukd earlier today. Still has the steelbook but maybe not the stickers

It's a small addition to the game, just like DLC.

I have Mario 3D World on the Wii U and it still gets played with the kids. In fact my Wii U in general still gets regular play. A good console with some really great games (hence why most of them re-appeared on Switch) but poorly marketed.
Regardless of how big the content is - does anyone actually know? - I am sure the updated base game will play very nicely. Having it portable will be great for my kids on their Lite's.

I have created a new thread in the MM to start a new online family group, as the one I was part of suddenly ended. Please hit me up over there if there is of any interest

The 1 year family membership ended a few days ago, this isn't very transparent and Nintendo didn't email me so I didn't even realise until trying to play Mario 35 today.

I disbanded the family group today as didn't want to have to reach out to everyone individually and collect money if they do/don't want in.

Apologies for being a lazy sod.

Edit: updated the old MM thread.

The switch has ended up being one of my least used Nintendo consoles due to all the releases, it's like a kick in the teeth every time they are announced, I can see why they do it, it's easy money, and tbh many people haven't even played these games today, but I do feel like I've been penalised for being a Wii-U owner, I see everyone enjoying their Switch's while I feel like starring in Groundhog day.

It's especially annoying as it has been my favourite sku from Nintendo to date, I always wanted an handled that gave me a fully-fledged console experience on the move and this does that, I just want more first party games to play on it, they better release an MK9 on this thing god dammit!

I just play animal crossing now...where are the NEW games??

They need a new machine out tbh.
Its not even been 4 years and its selling better than ever. There may be an upgrade in a year or two but they're not dropping it for a long while yet.

My backlog is so large I am not really interested in new stuff. Silksong is the only thing I have my ear out for.

Interesting point! Mainly on whether you have previously played the re-masters. I am well versed with the N64 and Gamecube but never got the chance to play on the 2 Wii systems. I was also late to the party getting a Switch (September 2020), so I'm really enjoying playing the re-masters that I never got to play first time round.

Someone has already mentioned about wanting a Mario Kart 9.

My bucket list would be to have a Super Mario Party sequel and having Mario Galaxy 2 re-mastered.

There is a Super Mario Party game for the Switch.

I am happy with the remasters even though I have a Wii U. Some of them I've bought again and some I never got on the U. Its about time for a new Mario Kart though.

Mario Kart 8 is one of the best I've ever played, but I played it to death on the Wii U and got all the DLCs. Daughter wanted to play MK8 for the first time so we picked it up on the Switch. It looks better, of course. But it's not MK9
