I'd be livid and doing my nut in if mine had been cancelled without any notice.

A mark in the plus column for doing the pre order in store though.
 
I stick with Amazon. Best ongoing customer service I have ever had. Most other places just want to fob you off when things go wrong.
 
Thinking on getting this still, only problem, lack of a good software launch, and the great unknown which is the network. Not sure if a few SNES multiplayer titles can sway me... I'm a sucker for new tech though :)

Due to international shipping that makes sense, domestic shipping and it would be a completely different story hence why none of us to U.K. Addresses have had theirs ship.

Amazon still have the opportunity to mess up for the majority of us :p
 
Man I am holding on here! I'm off to the dentist shortly and if that doesn't end up costing me a fortune I may have to pre order a switch!

I placed a pre-order with Game and i remember that they said they would make a dummy charge against my card(which they would refund) in order to ensure the card was valid. Im assuming that happened to everyone else that preordered with them, what would be the point validating the card if they're just going to cancel the preorder for no reason.....

I won't have this problem as i canceled my online preorder as i couldnt use the large amount of credit i had in my 'Game wallet'

It's still a UK postcode, so I'm still giving Amazon some kudos here :)

This dummy charge is what I reckon caused the anti fraud to kick in, it was a £1 transaction followed by an attempt to take the £279. I managed to approve the payments to unlock my card again which probably explains why Zelda and the controller went through fine but the Switch being cancelled.

I still hope it gets put on the boat, mostly so I laugh at my mate as I know hes going to laugh at me for the foresable future when I can look at my switch and not play it :(

I've had to put up with pictures from my mate who works in Game playing with a Switch today...nightmare :(
