*** Nintendo Switch ***

I'm happy to have discussions with anyone on the merits of a console, talk about any issues or mistakes you think Nintendo is making but this thread is filled with people who feel the need to tell the rest of us what they aren't buying... I just don't get why, no one cares.

Um... you kick-started the discussion:

Oh man the scores for Zelda are amazing.

I bet a lot of people who cancelled pre-orders are going to be kicking themselves tomorrow.

I pre-ordered. I cancelled. I'm not kicking myself. I simply stated why.

I continue to read and participate in this thread because, despite not having a pre-order anymore, I'm still very interested in the console. I likely will buy one. Maybe soon. Maybe not for some time. But I guess I owe you an apology for my lack of blind adulation.

Maybe the Switch will be the thing that gets me interested in gaming again?

Zelda ordered this morning from Shopto and now got my dispatch notification and tracking number wish I ordered from them in the first place like I did my Wii U!

Kinda why I plumped for it, it's different than what the competition are doing and I'm tired of playing the same FPS' and being milked with season passes(Yes, I am aware of Zelda's season pass) and microtransactions.

I want to recapture a bit of magic that gaming used to provide in years gone by.

Your last sentence is so true, for me anyway. Haven't been many games that have gripped me in the last few years and less so with that magic that you used to get with Nintendo and Sega.

That's why I think Sonic Mania might by my GOTY, if it's anything like the 16bit era, I'll be 8 year old Pete all over again :D

effin loved Sonic 1 lol

When we were watching be Nindie announcements the other night my gf really perked up with the 8/16bit style stuff came on screen, or general sidescrolling stuff.

She wasn't even a big gamer when she was younger! Her brother was and she played the console with him. Even then it still holds some magic of how games used to be.

Interesting eh?

That's why I really liked my Wii U, the few games I purchased were brilliant and gave me much more enjoyment than half the other stuff I played and got bored of quickly.

£25 for a USB C mains charger, must have got hte Apple pricing team on board. Sad thing is some people won't know they don't have to use the official one either and pay it.

It is likely a 15V charger though. Might wait a few days then buy one to see if any others come out. I cant find any proper alternatives (i.e. 15v)
