*** Nintendo Switch ***

How many predominately PC games have got a Switch? And also how many gamers who mostly use Xbox/PS have one?

I'm a PC gamer, have a PS4 Pro (for exclusives and console games I want to play at their best) and Xbox One (which gathers dust now) and then on top of that Wii U and 3DS...I like to have all options for my gaming really with only the XBox currently not proving to be of use to me.

Switch slots in naturally as a replacement to both my Wii U and 3DS.

I don't get the argument that it's doing something different? It's essentially a tablet that has a dock that allows you to view the content on your TV. On one of my old iPads years ago I had a cable that allowed you to plug it in to a dock which would output on to your TV at 1080p, and then as soon as you unplug it goes back to on the iPad

Other than the controller, it's basically taking a handheld console and beefing it up a bit, then giving you a dock that allows you to view it on your TV

I promise I'm not bashing it, as I will get one eventually when the refresh is out and the games lineup is improved, but I'm just failing to see what people think is so different that hasn't been available for 5+ years with iPads and Android tablets, granted you don't get Nintendo's first party games on there

Most tech-savvy people could hook their iPad up to their TV, but for many, they wouldn't know where to start.

I think the difference is tablet "games" are fairly limited and derivative. They usually total a few hundred meg, not 10-15+ gb of content.

I agree it's nothing new, but it allows full size console games on the go, and they've simplified the process to get it working on your TV.

In before the "FAKE NEWS" comments

To be fair it's hard to verify thousands of owners of the console from a Reddit thread :p

Oh and of course there will be screens out there with Dead Pixels, I remember it was all about the placement of them years ago as that would effect someone's user experience.

I haven't noticed any on mines so I don't plan on going looking for them now as once you find one...lol

I wouldn't personally buy a Switch for Zelda, nor would I buy a PS4 just for Horizon. Depends what games are coming out or out already (for the PS4) that take your fancy

Switch and Zelda or Ps4 and Horizon Dawn?

For a home console? Zelda > Horizon Dawn by a considerable margin, but when you consider the PS4's catalogue you'd be bonkers to get a Switch over a PS4 at this stage imo.

They're different consoles, one is purely a home console the other a hybrid so you have to consider whether you'd use it on the go. If not, PS4 all day long.

I already have a PS4 and an Xbox One. They're not getting much of a look in lately since I started playing Zelda. I want Horizon but it's just going to have to wait...as is Nioh...as is Nier.

I took my Switch to work today to show to two people I know who game (they knew why I had last Friday off). They were both amazed at the thing and both said they thought it was such a nicer piece of tech than they thought it would be. Both buying one for sure. One is predominantly a PC gamer and the other plays mostly Vita and 3DS. They were particularly impressed with my horse named Dobby.

Just ordered 1-2-Switch for evening delivery.... perhaps a waste of money, but figure it might be a good game for my little ones :D.

*I learnt my lesson with digital games on my Wii U. I'm trying to sell it atm, and even though i bought 15+ games for it, only 4 were physical...

It's because the same children who love cod / Fifa also love PlayStation. So we get all the bedroom warriors slating anything that isn't "maximum graphics!"

What's sad is that so many are missing out on Zelda, which easily outclasses the vast majority of games on both PlayStation and Xbox.
Maximum graphics is not a console though, it is PC. That is why I like PC + Nintendo combo :D

PS4 but not just for horizon

this year alone

yakuza zero (84)
Nier automata (90)
nioh (87)
horizon (88)
gravity rush 2 (80)

X1 with Forza Horizon, Gears 4, Quantum break, Halo Wars 2.

Seamless lounge integration with the best controller.

Did Sony ever fix the way all launch PS4's rattle about because they missed a foot off the bottom?
