They're trying, I reckon they didn't even think the Switch would do so well so early! They've even resorted to Air Travel to get stock to places quicker at times.

They're ramping up production which is great news!
 
Prime 4 definitely the most exciting moment for me. It must have been in development for quite some time already, just not ready to be shown yet. Nintendo don't typically reveal games until they are within a year of release. Perhaps next years will E3 will either be Prime or Pokemon focused (or both).

I'm not too keen on Xenoblade 2's art direction from what I've seen, but if it plays as well as Xenoblade 1 and X I'm in!.

I like that Nintendo are continue with the Jazz music style with Switch games, that Mario Odyssey number! so good.

Maybe! Interesting indeed. Nintendo does do multiple directs throughout the year, so maybe they'll show it more later down the line. Or maybe Retro will actually leak the occasional screenshot etc.
 
Thinking about it, I am glad Smash wasn't announced...

They've got plenty in the pipeline. And they delivered enough to keep the majority happy. Don't want all their big hitters announced and delivered in the 1st year! Enough going on to keep us occupied until then :)

I had the same reasoning as you to my mate...plus I'd rather a new version rather than a straight port.

The only thing I secretly wanted which wasn't announced was Bayonetta 3...I can dream :(
 
Another Metroid game!, looks fun too. I never played the original Metroid 2 so definitely interested in this reimagining.

The last game Retro Studio released was Tropical Freeze in 2014 and they've not really been involved with anything since. So based on that I'm assuming Prime4 has been in development for a long time.
 
I would have liked to have seen but not dissapointed I didn't:

- Smash Bros
- Pikmin 4
- Animal Crossing

But I think they have cemented the Switch here with this announcement. I am confident all the big IPs like these are going to come at some point to the Switch :)
