*** Nintendo Switch ***

i was out yesterday so have not had a chance to grab sonic mania yet, will be the first thing i do when i get in from work, ive always been a Nintendo guy but i do love Sonic and can not wait to have a blast and feel like im in the 90s again

are there save points?

So my left Joy con slides out on its own now and I want to replace it.

My problem is I bought it second hand so I dont have a receipt for it.

Can I still get it repaired via Nintendo and can I just send the controller off and not the whole unit? Really appreciate it if someone can help me out here.

Do you have another pair? If so, does the left click in place properly? That will tell you if it is the Switch or the control with the issue.

If it is the Switch, then try phoning Nintendo. If you try going via email/website you need proof of purchase etc. but on the phone you may be ok - I believe Kree said he did not require anything when he sent his off?

If it is the control, you can always be a bit cheeky and buy another pair with receipt, then return the defunct pair to them. (Not that I am condoning such action, but technically it is an option)

Glad to hear people are happy with Sonic, personally never liked the games so sadly not one for me, but appreciate it is a big deal to many a persons younger days, so glad they did it justice!

Does anyone know if I call Nintendo UK to try and get an update on my support case which was logged to Nintendo PT, if they will be able to?

Reason being is the support case is under my wifes name and we know they refuse to speak English to me and shes crazy busy at work, therefore doesn't have time. I am wondering if I can get around it by calling the UK team instead.

I dont have a second pair, however, if I connect it to the joypad part that turns them into a controller it does the same. Left side slides off while the right does not.

Any idea when the deal is likely to go live? I've convinced myself to wait until Christmas/the new year to get a switch but at that price I would take a punt.

No idea, Sorry!

If you sign up for an account and check it regularly you might be lucky :)

If I find out more info I'll post it here.

I'm already registered since about 2012...wish they were planning to directly email us :) That's enough of a discount over the usual price I might take a punt if I see it as I've been waiting :) pretty please drop me a trust message if you see it's gone live!

Also as a note, that cyclonic preorder price for the new Mario game is excellent. Wouldn't wonder if they're going to release them together. I'll grab both at that price!

Got my Switch back! :D

Asked at Reception on the off chance to see if any parcel had been received under my wife's name after hearing zilch from Nintendo or the delivery company and she went back through about 4 pages of received parcels and found it. Then they went and dug it out of the store room.

They said it was received last week meaning a 1 week turn around for the repair.

Will test it out later :) really looking forward to catching up on Zelda & Splatoon 2. Also the wife's family are down this weekend so it'll be a good opportunity to grab some extra joy cons and overcooked :)

Providing it tests ok, I'll be sending some constructive feedback about that rude woman to Nintendo later tonight :)

EDIT: Got home and checked the repair sheet. Console was found without fault and the right JC as well. The left one it mentions about the antenna. And now it works when I'm standing by the front door, a good 8m away in the hallway :)

Anyone had issues with the bottom right screen popping out

It's apparently a common issue and it's happening on my switch

Seems most switches have this issue

My mate bought the splatoon green and pink joycons and swapped them for my grey ones.

I'm very happy to have 4 neon controllers as I regretted getting the dull grey ones.
