*** Nintendo Switch ***

I'll be honest, think this 'deal' is a fake. Whilst there's a page for it, me and my wife both sat there yesterday and as soon as the timer expired to show one going live and the buy it button it expired.
We also noticed if I changed system clock, my timer changed with it, so seems the timer is based on local time rather than server time, which screams fake countodown to me as there's not a genuine server-based timer and 'unveil'.

Guess I'll have to wait for Black Friday/Christmas/New Years/Spring Sales.

Both me and my wife want a switch, but we can't justify £300 for one right now. £200 we'd have snapped it up.

Amazon have the neon in stock for £279. You're not going to see this thing for £200 any time soon - even at Christmas the price isn't going to budge. If you want one and can afford it just get it :)

We could probably afford it, but it just seems a bit too much, when we already have a number of games on other systems to play. £250-280 with a GOOD game would probably be my buy it point (ie £250 with Zelda, and I'd be relatively happy), £200 would be my buy it instantly point.
I'm sure sooner or later we'll see some better valued bundles with a game included :)

I don't think we will. The demand for it is so high and they struggle to meet those demands with the supply. Its pretty much selling out as soon as it hits shelves...so why would they lower the price point or entice it even more? if they had them sitting on the shelves and were not selling as fast, then yeah sure...but that isn't the case right now. If anything it would just anger fans. Offering deals they cannot follow through on!

I also think that "deal" was just to drive business to their site, makes sense from a business point of view.

Supply and demand, absolutely zero reason to drop the price on the Switch.

I don't seem to recall there being any significant price drop on the WiiU either, although they did start console bundles etc.

Only way you will manage the price you are looking for is via Ebay or any other second hand place. Even then you will likely be looking at £250-£280 with a game (likely Zelda) at best.

Huh - my switch seems to have died! Turned it on for the first time in ages and it's stuck on the 'charging low-battery screen'.

Any suggestions? Have tried holding the power button down etc.

Edit - oh, just be patient apparently.... just made its way to one percent battery after ten minutes and turned on!

Awesome. I've been wanting to try this for a while now!

I don't play arms anymore. It got very stale that by far the dominant strategy was to wait until the other person makes a move and then counter punch.

It's not that I'm not good at it, but higher level matches just become a question of who gets bored first and throws the first punch to lose the game and get it over with.

Need some speedey help I'm at the airport looking to buy a power bank for the switch what cable should I buy? Same one that comes with the switch? ( I left it at home !)
