*** Nintendo Switch ***

Xenoblade 2 is gonna prove a huge time sink for me. Been a long time since I played a jrpg and already I feel the pull of experience farming etc

Dunno if been mentioned but amazon.de is running 3 for 2 on certain switch games but runs out today, picked up mario odyssey, mario & rabbids and skyrim

Anyone see the megaman announcements? Anyone excited?

Never played a megaman game, but the new one coming does look good!

Regarding SD cards. I just checked mine and I have 57GB remaining on my 128. Revelations is 12GB and Revelations 2 is 23GB. So yeah glad I bought one!

No, Capcom have been doing everything wrong with all of their series recently.

I thought RE7 was decent enough and I am happy to have Revelations on the Switch but I agree they are a very odd company. Hopefully they'll turn things around one day. Monster Hunter: World at the end of January. It'll be interesting to see how that turns out.

I've never played a Megaman game but I do try to be optimistic in all things so it could be something to look forward to despite Capcom being a bit weird!

They've messed up all their fighting games recently and they made the Revelations physical release just be the first game with a download code for the second one.

On a totally unrelated note, anyone know if a more reliable 'portable' HDMI dock is out and about? I know a few have been released in the past with all sorts of dodgy cheapness to them and while getting good reviews from people overall I understand they can be a bit of a risk to the Switch. (Things like HC - A35A5 Portable Type C to HDMI Adapter)

Is there a more reputable portable dock out there? I think Nyko have one but not sure I like its design

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Orzly-Mini...F8&qid=1512556822&sr=8-7&keywords=switch+dock - I like the look of this one personally. Its a mine field though :/

That's just a stand, not a dock.

I 3D printed my own and I use Nintendo's own hardware in it:

No way am I taking risks frying my Switch and losing my save data with the reported issues with third party docks.

As a bonus my fans run a lot slower with that dock. I think it's because the vents on the back are not restricted like they are with the official dock.

Even the Nyko dock doesn't seem perfect, there's been reports of it damaging the USB port to the point it won't charge any more even if you use the original Switch AC charger with it. There's HDMI dongles which also works with Samsung phones as well, but they also have mixed reports on damaging the Switch.

The safest dock I've seen so far is the official dock rehoused in a smaller case like @Kreeeee has done. I'm actually tempted to do this myself for a second dock but the main dock itself is still quite pricey.

I gutted my main dock rather than buying a second one. I have no regrets at all as this one is better in every way compared to the original.

- Switch runs cooler
- No screen scratches
- Smaller
- Won't get damaged in transit
- Easier to dock/undock
- Can be used as a portable stand if no HDMI cable is plugged in
- Glows in the dark
- Easier to plug/unplug cables
