*** Nintendo Switch ***

Never had a Resident Evil game before and want to get into the series as I have heard nothing but good things after seeing the hype for RE2:ReMake, but then saw that it isn't coming out on the Switch.

Which ones would you recommend? I saw that Revelations 1 and 2 was on sale a few weeks ago on the eShop but I sadly missed it.
Also what would be a good price for the ones you recommend?

To experience similar RE2Remake mechanics, check out RE4,Revelations,5 and even 6. To experience the old school feel then definitely get 0&1 when they come available on e-shop.

I bought a switch just before the new year, got 15% off through an ebay offer, which is the main reason why I purchased it when I did, been watching the price of them since release but they hardly came down so just held off.
Wanted one for so long, and I got the mario odyssey, but have only played it twice :(

Anyone know how Nintendo stand on refunds for digital games? Been wanting to change my collection to digital for a while and on the first game I’ve downloaded (paid for too!) my save data won’t recognise in the digital version but will in the physical.

I’ve tried deleting the physical version but nothing :/

I just assumed it would be like any other console where regardless what version you have on the console the save data would marry up.

**Edit - Turns out each version has a different publisher so the game isn't compatible with each others save data, spoke to Nintendo (live chat first) wouldn't refund, so got on the blower and within 10 mins refunded.

Just got myself a switch and wanting to play a few games on budget.

Looking at Mario oddysey, Mario kart 8, smash bros and Zelda.

Where will I find best prices, don't mind 2nd hand and not in a rush to try them all as limited windows of play time.

Haven't had a nintendo since the snes.

What game was it?

I may end up going digital only if there are big sales on physical games I own and I'd like to avoid this problem.

If you will complete them in a few weeks then just buy them second hand privately (shame you can't access the members market on here) and sell them on for the same price. You then just pay postage.

If you want them digital then switch to the South Africa store for ~20% saving and wait for them to go on sale for 33% off again.

Even places like CeX are wanting more second hand than you can get them retail new. Zelda and MK for instance are £50 second hand. I saw a Tweet by Eurogamer last week who had found some of those titles at £38 but I don't know from where nor if the offers still stand. Buying first party Nintendo games is never cheap even years later because the titles are so evergreen. Mario Kart alone sold more in the UK in 2018 than it did the year before. I can't ever imagine a thing like that happening on any other console.

Mutant Mudds is well worth the £1.90 that it's currently on sale for!

Good spot. I will pick it up tonight!

Edit - I've just been looking at CeX prices and every single Switch game price has gone up since Christmas. Taking advantage of all those new console sales, no doubt.

i think there should be a seperate thread for switch bargains tbh. since the hardware and software is expensive. i just got 2 more joy cons because there was a whopping £8 off them. which is a joke IMO paying £65 for what is 2 very basic small controllers. so the £8 off helps ease the pain.

a seperate thread would help everyone find the latest bargains and good deals like this game you are on about.

A separate thread isn't really needed for eShop sales as the thread would just say to check this every Thursday when the eShop is updated: https://eshop-prices.com/games/on-sale?currency=GBP

If you have any games you're waiting for a sale on then just add it to your wishlist on the Switch eShop and check that on Thursday too.

Edit: Wargroove is out 1st February and I will be adding that to my wishlist and waiting for a discount just like I am doing with Celeste.

Smash will be updated to version 2.0 soon too.

I did enjoy the Nindies yesterday. What caught my eye the most was innmost and the one about the ski lift thing which was basically the bridge builder. But I thought most of them all look like very well polished games :)
