*** Nintendo Switch ***

Just seen a leak for a monster hunter game coming to the switch in Q1 2020 it's supposed to have the same play style as world and bring 14+ new WEPS etc and be a switch exclusive I hope it's true and not an early April fools

Finished mario odyssey today with my little boy. Brilliant game. We both enjoyed it !

Anyone got that new Yoshi game ? Any good ?

I got it on Friday, only played 2 levels as i am playing Zelda. Seemed pretty good for what i played, and loved the background music of the first two levels!

on a side note, i seriously hate the shop game. Prices in store are ridiculous. They are "competitive" ish online, with yoshi at £44.99. But then sell it in shop at £49.99. Also zelda is £52.99.

Had to buy it from their as i had a gift card and wanted to trade in some games, but i wont be going back.

Also the shop STANK

Rant over. Lol

With the news of a possible new nintendo switch upgrade i have been thinking, is their any reason why no one has talked about it being a "upgraded" dock? that basically adds more power to the system? or is that because the limitations of usb -c would not allow for a faster gpu/cpu to be accessed this way?

If it was a upgraded dock it would not alienate owners of the "old" console too much as everyone could upgrade their base unit?

I created another profile on my Switch so I could play through Zelda on normal mode again without losing my previous save.

I have the online membership but the new profile saves aren't being backed up, I tried to link this local account to my existing Nintendo account but says I already have a profile linked (which I do, my main account).

It seems you can only have one profile linked to one account which I get but I don't really want to register another as I like having all my stuff in one place.

Is there no other way of being able to back up saves on another profile than linking it to a new account or is there an alternative way of playing through Zelda again on the same profile while keeping your old save (and not by playing through on Master Mode)?

It's not the way Nintendo do things, and it would be a very expensive dock. In that scenario the Switch would only be a conduit for game data and all the processing (with duplicate RAM etc) would be in the dock itself.

You need a family account.

Ahh right, thanks, didn't think of that!

So I create a child account online under my master one and then I should be able to link the new profile I created on my Switch to my account selecting the new child one?

Sorry at work so can't test until tonight.

Yes, but you need to have a family subscription to NSO.

I went into Game in central MK and it always has a funny smell..not sure if its because people in there or the store doesn't maintain their ventilation, air filter and air-con that much and its reached to the point they aren't working that well.
My local game is fine though in the hygiene department at least.

Never had an issue with Game in Nottingham so much be a local thing/ smelly customers?
Also I doubt there's much they could do for an "upgraded" dock apart from add a fan or 2 for air flow to keep the console cool as I've noticed playing splatoon the switch gets extremely hot and uncomfortable to handle if I decide to switch from dock to handheld

Just a heads up, it looks like Twitch Prime members can get up to a year of Nintendo Switch Online for free.

From what I can gather, you claim the first 3 months and then once you've done that, if you've had 60 consecutive days of active twitch prime subscription, you will have the ability to claim the final 9 months. There are some terms and conditions around it which can be found in the link here:

I was going to purchase NSO so this deal coming along has worked out nicely for me.

Does that mean I have to log into Twitch everyday for 2 months?
