*** Nintendo Switch ***

I've never had a console get me this excited since the Gamecube. Literally can't wait to get my hands on one for myself.

People give Nintendo a hard time for not being a top end console (whatever that is) but I like that they're the only company actually trying to mix things up.

Sony and Microsoft haven't changed since PS2/Xbox other than online play.

I can get one 2-3 days early here, basically as soon as the stores have the consoles. They don't seem very strict on release dates in Switzerland :p

Just don't order it online here as it's quicker to get things delivered from the UK than it is to order things domestically online.

I'll be waiting for Zelda though.

No idea how console releases go here in Portugal. They don't seem to advertise much. One day the PS4 Pro just seemed to appear in stores and that was that :p

Going to regularly keep an eye out for pre-order packages though :) order for in-store pickup.

I've pre ordered lots of stuff with them in the past.Games usually arrive a day or two earlier from GameSeek.
They will take your money straight away but they have never let me down.
Edit ** pre ordered :)

I have used them a few times also with no issues.

Question, did they charge you, or is charged upon dispatch? If charged when dispatched I will pre-order just in case prices go up :)

They charge you now. But that means you will be locking yourself into the base model and there is rumours of a £250 bundle with more memory and a splatoon 'remaster' included.

I've preordered with shopto until bundles are available.

Gonna hold out until the bundles are available for pre-order.

Nintendo really dropped a clanger with its release date. Surely it should have been this side of Christmas.

I dont think the games that will sell the system are ready so releasing this side of christmas would be a disaster with so many big budget games out at the moment on other systems and there are still lots of Wii U units to clear

This. Also with the PS4 Pro just being released that is taking a lot of attention. I think March is a good date. Lets people recover from Xmas and new year :)

Got to disagree there. The Christmas hype and eventual sell out can propel devices in to the next year and often generate major headlines and hysteria. The Switch should have been targeted for before Christmas, including the completion of games.

Got to wonder if something happened in the design or technical prototype stage which set everything back. As I'm sure Nintendo would have preferred to get it our before Christmas.

I'm not pre-ordering till I see some more info on what choices we have to make on this - basic/premium/bundles/controllers etc.

Show me the OPTIONS! :p

I would have only pre-ordered if I did not have to tie my money.

But as it is, I am definitely waiting for bundles :)

Which explains the shocking lack of 3DS and WiiU hardware deals this Black Friday. Compared to last year...
