*** Nintendo Switch ***

pretty poor to be honest just relying on rehashing old titles.

Part of Nintendo's plan seems to be testing how many times they can sell people the same games... (looks at Mini NES, yep I'm one of those suckers).

:)

In fairness though as the Wii U sold so poorly most people won't have experienced a lot of the good games on there, for example MK8 only sold 8m copies up to end of September 2016 (https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/sales/software/wiiu.html) and is by far the biggest selling game.

That sums up Nintendo for the last decade or so. Great for those that dip in for a home console every few generations, but those of us that support them every time are getting rogered without lube.

And yet I still keep turning up for more punishment!

Not sure if accurate but Nintendo Life were posting that a new budget 3DS is coming out in the US, might be why stock is drying up if a new version is incoming, maybe they'll release here too.

Firstly, it's America-only. Nintendo are known for their region-exclusive nonsense. Usually when things launch in the US, they don't bring it over here. But the last few times things only launched over here, they've eventually made it over to the US (i.e. the other way around).

Secondly, it's a deal for Black Friday. Anyone remember the amazing WiiU deals and 3DS XL deals last year? They were only temporary. No doubt the price will launch back up afterwards, especially since they still have 2DSes to sell (self-competition at the $100 price point) and they've got plenty of new bundles for those.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Best thing Nintendo can do is to just phase out the 3DS and let it die. It's had a fair length life and the 2DS appears to still be going strong. Either that or do something similar to the Wii mini, but then the 2DS is exactly that already.

For sure, hence the ports of WiiU titles. Not as annoying or as silly as doing a remake of a game like Skyrim, which every Tom, Dick and Larry has played in some shape or form before Special Edition. At least us PC players got it free... (despite it adding nothing and thusly not being worth a purchase for original Skyrim owners).

I won't touch Game with a barge poll unless by miracle they they significantly cheaper. Will more than likely pick it up from the jungle place myself. Great customer service. Just take one look at the PS4 Pro thread and you will see why Game are anything but.

Plus no rush to pre-order, won't get it any earlier. I will wait until the Mario bundle is out at least. My guess is February :)

Laura Dale tweeted earlier:

Nintendo are internally aiming for a June 16 2017 UK Breath of the Wild Switch release. Aiming Wii U for June 23 2017 UK.

So just as we thought. Hopefully everything finishes on time.

Same. I'm tempted to put in a pre-order just because.

Trust Pilot seems to give them a OK rating but lots of people saying they take pre-orders without being able to fulfil them

Shopto are also taking pre-orders (again, don't think they're a competitor) but have a price of £9999 until Nintendo announce a price. But I actually have bought stuff from them so a bit more happy to order with them.

Edit: Pre-ordered. If that Jungle place takes orders soon I'll order one with them as well.

I'm gonna hold off till the jungle has them. Never had a problem with them. But seems like a great price if it's true!

I've pre ordered lots of stuff with them in the past.Games usually arrive a day or two earlier from GameSeek.
They will take your money straight away but they have never let me down.
Edit ** pre ordered :)
