Perfect combo isn't it. I didn't like sitting at my desk to play it on PC either!

I missed one crop for the greenhouse in first spring so will be a while til I can get that :D

It can be daunting constantly worrying about what to do each day but I find setting yourself a goal really helps you keep momentum.

After more gaming last night a lot of it I think is coming down to knowing the map. I cannot remember the names but one Tower Control with the tower being under an arching bridge is one of the ones I am "best" at. Have been trying to figure out the strategic advantages in each one.

Also played some rainmaker. I enjoyed it more than the first time around for sure :)

These ranked battles are just so much better than turf war...so much more intense. The game certainly went up a notch!
 
Yeah it's very focused around competitive pvp, so game design and balance is prioritised around the Ranked/League modes.

Map awareness and being able to make the right choices based on where your team members are is certainly very important at high level play. Maps also change a bit between modes, i.e. more paths/shortcuts in RM/TC.

Everything has been balanced around ranked mode too which is why turf war is so janky with a very limited set of viable weapons and abilities.

In ranked you have so many different play styles and choices that become viable depending on the mode and the map (hence the weird two-hour rotations online).

Let me know if you ever come across a player called InkRedAbel with 2 mains and 6 subs of special up and 1 main and three subs of ink saver main. Most likely using the Jet Squelcher and spamming 13-15 specials during a match ;)

Its interesting because this game from the outside appears to be a fairly simple game with fairly simple objectives. But this is a looonnnggg rabbit hole! The more I look into it, the more complex it can become. Impressive & incredible design overall!
 
I am only just now utilising Super Jump :p
...and realising that jumping to other team mates is a very fast way to get myself instasplatted due them being in a battle and it lands me right in the middle of the crossfire :p

Do you know if someone is jumping in other players get alerted without looking at the map? Any indication?
 
You hear the noise and you can see where they will land with an arrow.

Use the map to do some recon and only super jump to people without any enemy ink being sprayed near them.
 
Also if you're cornered pressing x, down, a will super jump back to your base, so you can get out of trouble and be sure not to land in trouble.

How do most people use the Switch? Docked or handheld?

I use mine in an approximate 50/50 split between handhd and docked. I don't get much gaming time at home during the week but the Switch goes with me when I commute.

Ok the weekends it stays docked most of the time though. One things for sure. When you use it as a hybrid like it's designed, it excels.
 
Depends on the game really. Zelda, MK8, Splatoon 2 and ARMS all 100% docked. Mario + Rabbids was 100% handheld but I did play it mostly on holiday. All the indie games I've bought I've only really played handheld. The hybrid nature of the system is very cool and I am finding myself playing and enjoying games more than I have for a long time.
 
Has anyone got any of the wheel accessories for Mario Kart? Was thinking of picking some up for my kids and was wondering if anyone could recommend a particular product?

Well tonight I played a little and got to try out Splat Zones. Something I wasn't even really aware of! (despite it being mentioned on the previous page)

Another game type I am enjoying :) - there were some matches where I was dominating and getting 20+ kills in. And others where we got creamed :p

One particular match on the boat the enemy team got the upper hand early on and reduced their countdown/score (whats the proper name?) to 10 or so and we were still on 60. For a while there was a really neck and neck power struggle and then we managed to gain the advantage and took control. We went into overtime and we managed to hold it until overtime expired and got it down to around 15!

We lost, but my god we went down fighting :D

What a rush! Fell back into the sofa after that and let a long breathe and a "whoa!" - it was awesome. Haven't had this kind of PvP rush in years and years.

Oh, also noticed the circle on the floor indicating where someone was super jumping to. Thanks for the tip :D

I play mine handheld the majority of the time, the only time i play on the big screen is if i'm not out and i decide to play Zelda or splatoon 2 online with a pro controller.
