*** Nintendo Switch ***

I got annoyed with the amFilm screen protector as it was too reflective and smudge marks stood out too much, so I ripped it off and it looks a lot better now. Screen looks better and not as reflective.

However I'd still like a protector really. I was thinking of getting the Orzly one, anyone had amFilm and Orzly and can recommend Orzly?

I have only used the Orzly and it's been fine, haven't had problems with reflections and smudges. Can't compare to the amFilm though sorry.

I've had both and they're both similar in terms of reflections and feel. They're both tempered glass so maybe you want a plastic one instead.

I’m sure people have asked this, but is there a decent external battery pack available? I’ve got flights to the states later this month and don’t think the internal battery will last ~8 hours!

Get an Anker battery and run a cable to it, take a break when you are having your meal to charge it.

On the way back from Japan in November I plugged the Switch into the AC power supply under my seat.
I was travelling Premium Economy but I believe some flights even have AC in Economy.
Check the flight details, sometimes they tell you upfront what power facilities are available.
(in arm/screen USB socket wont be enough to charge the Switch).

I've heard this is pretty good for the Switch as I believe it charges faster than it drains with general usage. Should be able to get a few charges out of it too.

Any old 2 Amp battery pack will charge the Switch faster than it discharges. It only uses 8.9 Watts (less than 5 Volts * 2 Amps) at max brightness in portable mode.

Just checked the flight, it has usb charging only :(

That Anker charging thing looks pretty good, I’ll see what the reviews say.

Picked up Xenoblade 2 earlier and have put (according to my save file) around 3 hours into it.

Hmmmm, I am not sure.

I LOVED Xenoblade Chronicles X but I am just not gelling with XB-2.

Maybe it is the atrocious voice acting (seriously it is so jarring that I am amazed it shipped like it) or noticeable framerate issues* once the areas open up (no spoilers) but it just isn't grabbing me like XB-X did. Then entire opening hour is a stark contrast and nearly made me turn the game off after right there and then.

On the plus side the combat feels similar (imo not as good) to that seen in XB-X and it does look like there will be a lot to do but, argh, I am completely unsure about continuing. Now I am just wishing for XB-X on the switch even more! :(

*Something not exhibited on the weaker Wii U hardware..

EDIT: Oh and unlike XB-X I also had to turn the music off...

EDIT 2: Decided I will give it a few more hours and try in un-docked mode (I have found myself far more forgiving of certain issues if I can remind myself that this is a bloody tablet chucking out what I am seeing - something I find harder to do when it is being played via the TV).

XBC2 seems to be the first AAA Switch game thats not getting universal praise. Ive got it put away as a Christmas present anyway so I guess I will have to wait and see what I think about it.

To be fair though IGN give it 8.5 but that score ,from that site, is a meme unto itself.

84 Metacritic is pretty good, no?

Not all Anker battery are the same, get one that can provide enough juice.

Mine does charge, but only if I am not playing it. If I am playing it, it's not enough power to go against the tide of the drain.
