*** Nintendo Switch ***

No surprises there.

The Switch has the best 3rd Party support of any Nintendo console for a long time. But that's only because publishers have realised they can sell 5 year old games for £40-£50 each. It doesn't really help that Nintendo have set the precedent with Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Captain Road, etc.
Ultra street fighter 2 :o

Indeed, another barrel scraper. Frankly I can’t believe you can now get a compilation of loads of street fighter games for pretty much the same price. It’s just a bit of an insult :o

Could be worse. They could have done a Megaman and split it in to four different collections.

Is there a go to 3rd party charger to have as a spare? Looking at the OEM charger ratings it has 2 sets of voltage/current. My P20 Pro charger does 5v/2a or 5v/4.5a so wondered if I could use that.

Also anyone know if I can use the headphone jack while docked?

My P20 Pro charger doesn't charge my Switch. However my Samsung S8 charger does charge the console .

For the dock stick to the official charger, but for the handheld just use any 2A charger.

Uh-huh.

Hmm Rock_n_Troll's account has been seemingly removed then this guy shows up and 1st post starts trolling the Switch thread.

I'm sure its just a massive coincidence.

Is it confirmed that Switches aren't being bricked by third party chargers in handheld? I know 3rd party docks are a gamble

You can use any USB port for charging in handheld, from Anker batter packs to ancient USB 1.1 ports. The issue is with how the dock draws it's power without using the official USB-PD standards when in high power mode.

Here is some light reading: https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSw...e_switch_is_not_usbc_compliant_and_overdraws/

In summary: If you're supplying 5V you can use anything, above that only use the Nintendo charger.
