No Man's Sky - Procedural space game

I can't believe people are still arguing over this, I bet most have spent more time arguing the merits and failures than actually playing the game.

Perhaps those that don't like it, like myself, move on and those that do can be left to talk about it and play it :)

Well I enjoy the game, and I couldn't give a monkey's about being the rare exception. One man's trash is another man's treasure, as they say.

nope, because they like half baked games

You seem to imply that the game is completely devoid of merit? Enjoyment isn't just a manifestation of buyer's remorse, you know?

I get this funny feeling the game will win a Golden Joystick award.

I can just see it happening and it will be hilarious.

This years Golden Joystick awards is hilarious not just because of NMS being nominated. Two of the games you could vote for were not even released when voting opened.

If someone likes it then they like it, regardless. It was decent to me for the first 6 hours or so but I do feel bitter about the lies they spouted.

Sheeple do not acknowledge lies and deceit or deviations from what the game promised to be. You are not a sheep :D Atleast Sean Murray admits the game was a mistake.

Reread this thread from the pages just before the launch. Oooooh the something something hindsight something something, some of the absolute tosh people were posting just before release makes for great late night reading. :D

Probably done to generate some interest as I imagine things were calming down. Strikes me as an attention seeker.

I don't buy the "we received death threats when we postponed the game either". Think it was just a lie to generate further interest/attention.

I don't think criticising the 'community' is a good way to generate sales and I believe their accounts were hacked, as they've stated. However, I wouldn't be surprised if pressure from Sony did play a part in NMS being released in an 'incomplete' state. Of course we may never know and Hello Games brought the following backlash on themselves as all they had to say was that they were launching without multiplayer etc because it isn't ready and it would be added later, or that it didn't work so had to be removed. But they didn't.

If you read the updated article, both the tweet and the emails were faked. There was talk about a disgruntled employee that was responsible, but it wasn't some kind of mea culpa by Sean Murray.

A question. Has the developer put forward a timeplan for introduction of the elements that were claimed as being planned for inclusion, but didn't make the initial release?
