No Man's Sky - Procedural space game

A question. Has the developer put forward a timeplan for introduction of the elements that were claimed as being planned for inclusion, but didn't make the initial release?

LOL nobody has heard from him since a couple of days post release, much less any admission of missing elements.

I honestly think Hello Games will just close down and the devs will all go to different studios. Sean Murray has ignored the entire playerbase completely, and I wouldn't touch another game he gets his hands on with a 10ft bargepole because of this.

I honestly wonder if because of his silence if he has destroyed his own career. Who's going to take him on after this?

Just to add to the stuff posted in answer to your question, I believe NMS is a toxic brand now. It currently has less than 500 people playing at this moment and putting effort into further development would be a huge waist of time and money...

As said, I expect Hello games to gently melt away into history... all because of what was said and what was not said.....

Bye Bye Games?

Does that include PS4 version?
Surely if Steam and PS4 version is advertised at £40 it must still be selling otherwise with all the negative publicity it would be bargain basement ?

4th one down. Is someone at Steam having a laugh ?

Sorry yes I should have pointed out it was on steam

They won't drop the PC price until they drop the console price. They last thing Sony want to do is to have a two tired pricing policy for their exclusive games. £39.99 is £6 cheaper on PC and I am sure already causes some forums to blow up because it is cheaper on PC than on PS4.

However pre owned is £19.99 ;)

Wow. That puts it really into perspective.

They won't drop the price because they don't need to. 99% of people already know it isn't worth £40 so won't buy it, and the remaining 1% who do have been living under a rock and deserve to have steam tell them no refunds after 2 hours.

Console prices have always been more expensive than PC, so thats not really a new thing.

if it was £10 i'd buy it so they'd get some more sales and players :/

i imagine after xmas they may reduce. there will be plenty kids unaware of the issues

They sold more than enough copies, problem is nobody got the product they actually advertised (just checked, original steam store page still advertises a version of the game you won't be playing)

Its a prime candidate for the steam xmas sale, if only they hadn't destroyed their own game and been in the press as under investigation for false advertising, oh and being the most negatively reviewed game on steam.

They had a chance to fix this, they really did. I enjoyed what I played and held out hope for a couple of months, the studio and lead dev couldn't give a **** about the things they've promised.

Yep, I agree. Their silence has simply poured fuel onto the burning PR disaster that is a the game. It now has 90% fewer players than Elite Dangerous, a game which didn't a major corporation pushing it - a damning verdict imho.

No it really is because it is a PS4 PC exclusive.

There is no need to keep it at 39.99, nobody will buy it at that price. Until Sony drop the PS4 price the PC will not be dropped. It is a Sony marketed game. They pull the strings...

Just noticed this on the Golden Joystick Award site. Could be totally wrong but are people trying to get NMS to win on purpose perhaps ?

If you haven't cast your vote for the Golden Joystick Awards yet, two things: 1) what are you doing?, and 2) you have a few more days, lucky. The online voting deadline for the Golden Joystick Awards has been extended until midnight GMT on November 4 (that's 8 pm EDT / 5 pm PDT on November 3).

It was originally set to end on October 31, but voting is uncomfortably close between two candidates for Game of the Year. Rather than mess around with photo finishes, we figured we'd just extend the deadline a bit and see if one emerges as the clear victor. No, we're not going to tell you which ones they are.
